Very chilled atmosphere with good music and great views. And then you get the food. Its not pretentious - just proper, hearty portions of home made quality food. Garlic prowns were perfect (plenty of garlic and a bit of chilli all combined in high quality olive oil.) For mains we choose goat meat with Canarian wrinkly potatoes - and OMFG - this dish is to die for. Finished with Barraquito coffee - so in total meal for 2 with 2 large beers cost us 40 euros - pretty reasonable when you consider quality of the food and that the portions are big. If youre not hungry - you can easilly order one goat meat...

We stumbled upon this place during our hike from Playa Tamadite to Afur and it was magical! It's quite a small but very busy restaurant and even though they don't speak any English and we don't speak a word of Spanish, we somehow managed to order delicious food. We can't but recommend the roasted cheese with Mojo and the escaldon. Be prepared to spend some time here since the service is a bit slow, all the more time for you to enjoy the view. The menu doesn't list any prices but we paid under €30 for a 3-course meal and drinks...

Must go restaurant in Taganana! The best meal we had in Tenerife - authentic rustic local cuisine, cooked really well and with the best mojo sauce and vino de la zone (wine from the region). Get the fish churros (pictured) for fish & chip style battered fish, the grilled cheese and sardines..unfortunately the octopus (pulpo) had sold out, which probably meant it is superb as well. Service is super friendly and not slow at all when we visited. Great...

We finished a hiking on the village of Taganana with a group of seven. They did have space for all of us. We asked for "papas arrugadas" with "mojo" and olives. The best olives that I have tried in Tenerife together with the mojo. They weren't oily as in other places and they gave us the food really quick besides they were just starting to prepare the food. The place has really nice views (they have a terrace). I wish I could know if they allow dogs.
