Visiting Las Nieves in Taganana was an unforgettable experience. I recommend driving into Anaga Rural Park, leaving the car at the Casa Forestal, and hiking down to Taganana. It’s a beautiful walk through the mountains, but you need to start early to make sure you have enough daylight for the return. The scenery along the way is breathtaking.

At Las Nieves, the service was as memorable as the food. The hostess and owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We were served potas — a large squid prepared in the traditional Canarian style — along with mojos, cheeses, and other local delicacies. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and deeply rooted in local tradition.

We had a wonderful time here — the combination of the hike, the warm hospitality, and the authentic Canarian food made it a highlight...

We were not allowed to sit on the second floor with the view unless we ordered food, however there was no available seats on street level but plenty seats on the 2nd floor. They could just put up a sign, but instead they chose to embarrass us in fornt of everyone.

As you might have guessed we continued on to the next cafe where we felt welcome.

"Answer to the owners comment, wow i am impressed that you are still in business. It is your establishment, but i guess you want our money. There is a saying, don't bite the hand...

The worst place in the whole Tenerife. We ordered 6 fresh juicies- they are not fresh juicies. They are not drinkable- water + a spark of fruit. Once we told the owner that we don’t want to pay for one of them (papaya was the worst of them all, we didnt drink that one it was that disgusting) she told us that this is not her problem and we need to pay 27eu for them. But if should be your problem once you have a restaurant, right? The ,,lady” do not speak any english. The worst place- higly not recommeded....

[EN] Today my partner and I went to enjoy the town and we were surprised by how unprofessional the service was. We arrived at 5:20 PM and I went in to ask if there was space upstairs. To which the lady owner told me no. Then she seemed to think about it and told me yes, if we ate something. We agreed because we felt like having a snack. When we got upstairs, one of the workers came to us and we ordered 2 Nesteas and some wrinkled potatoes. Shortly after, the one who had initially served us, who seemed to be the owner, came up and told us that we couldn't have potatoes unless we ordered them with meat. To which I replied no, thank you. I thought it was a disgrace, I hope this alerts others so they can go to another place in the area where I'm sure there are better and very good places.

Ask for the prices! They are not written and we're definitely higher than we expected. They also charged us one beer and a juice too much 😠 my bad I didn't read the receipt immediately. Also, as other reviews say, guests should estimate enough time for a lunch: there is just one waitress. Anyway the food was ok and the terrace has a wonderful view. Unfortunately no coffee served during the day. One can have a good coffee (and some local history) at the near Centro Cultural de Taganana.
