Let me start off by saying the view is gorgeous and the hostess we spoke to on the phone to push back our reservation very kind. However the vibe shifted when we sat down. Firstly our waitress came over was very nice shared some menu specials and took our drink order. We took some photos and then proceeded to order food. We weren’t starving so we ordered drinks a salad and a side of fries to share (we were a party of 3). I felt bad so I did say to the server we’re not starving but we’ll be ordering a lot of drinks. Immediately her mood shifted and that was the last time she came to the table. The manager who then came by and said the reservation is only for dinner and we could sit on the couch and enjoy the rest of our food. Keep in mind when you place a reservation there is not a minimum amount you have to spend for the reservation and you only have the table for 90 mins. We politely declined and said we would like to finish the food we already had at the table and maybe after if we wanted to keep getting drinks we would sit on the couch, then he said that the couch may not have seats left if we didn’t leave our table right then. At this point we only has about 30 mins left of our 90 minute reservation so we again said we would finish our food at our table. We finished our food and immediately left. The server never came back after taking our food order she went to damn near every table near us except us. The manager is the one who brought our food to the table and no one asked if we needed anything else. I found that behavior extremely rude coming from a “fine dining” restaurant. I understand if we didn’t get food at all OR if when you make a reserve ration they specify you must get a certain amount of food but that’s not the case. Had that interaction never occurred we would have stayed and ordered drinks making them more money. I found the server to be rude as she never came back to check on us and would side eye us has she walked by. It’s not worth it in my opinion there are many restaurants in Ibiza with better...

things that went well: The restaurants interior and exterior as well as the view are absolutely stunning. Lots of wonderful details in the interior, we loved it the staff is professional and friendly, even offered to take pictures when we took a selfie the wagyu beef, potatoes / selfmade fries were very good. parking right in front we got a wonderful table at the front with full sea view
things that need improvement: The starter iberian ham plate, charged at a crazy 50 euros is nowhere worth that amount. it is a normal portion served with some toasted bread, nothing special and didn‘t taste super special. If compared to 80 euros for wagyu there is an imbalance. the tuna smelled a bit too fishy, which shouldn‘t happen if super fresh the drinks were super basic but charged at very high prices. Barkeeper needs to improve, at least add garnish, special touch to it and serve in proper glasses. my gin tonic was served in kind of a water glass.. I would not critizise that point if we were in a basic restaurant with basic prices. the drinks were also served one after each other instead of both drinks for the two of us together. This is a simple service rule which is required at that level of restaurant. the dessert (not remembering what its called) was kind of a chocolate bowl where the waiter added hot chocolate sauce, it looked cool but after the hot sauce was added everything melted within minutes and in the end it was only a big plate of chocolate sauce. Something seems wrong with that, too hot chocolate sauce maybe? ;-)
Overall great experience and we hope Amante is improving some topics since we really liked the place.
As a price guide: Two cocktails, one (overpriced starter), two mains with sides, one dessert, one espresso ==...
Read moreOur recent visit to Amante Ibiza was extremely disappointing. Despite the restaurant’s beautiful setting, the reality fell far short of expectations. It’s one of those places that looks good but that’s it. I went here for my birthday and tried to make the best of it.
Firstly, the food was served cold and the table was wobbly, which we had to ask the waiter to fix multiple times. We were seated in the sun, adding to our discomfort. The restaurant also had a serious fly infestation, making it difficult to enjoy our meal. Literally had to kill some just to eat in peace.
The dishes we ordered were lackluster, especially the lubina (the house speciality), which was nowhere near worth its 100€ price tag. The black garlic risotto with burrata was cold and the lubina just mediocre. The only redeeming aspects were the cocktails (I had the Brazilian Mule and the Lychee Martini and my partner had the Tropical Mojito) and croquettes.
The takeaway experience was APPALLING. Not only was a fly packed with our food, but essential sauces were also missing. It wasnt until we had already started eating that we found the fly. My partner almost threw up when we found it. This level of negligence is unacceptable, particularly given the high prices.
Despite reaching out to the restaurant, their response was inadequate, offering us a round of drinks, as we are no longer on the island and unable to give them another chance. For spending over 200€ for two people in Europe, we expected far better service and quality. Sadly, we left with nothing but disappointment.
Avoid if you value your money and...
