Can Cosmi is a typical Spanish tapas bar located in the busy centre of the town at the top of the Mini Ramblas and on the main street through the centre of the town. This is a very busy area with local shops close by and is close to the promenade on the seafront and is frequented by tourists and local people alike There are plenty of outdoor seating and tables, a lovely cool air conditioned indoor dining area and a roof terrace. Food is typically Spanish and there is an extensive drinks menu This area can get very hot during the day but there are plenty of parasols providing shade over the outside tables Meals and drinks are waiter service but due to the bar becoming an ever increasing tourist attraction it seems that the service and quality of the food is somewhat hit and miss and the prices also reflect this. But if Tito the manic whirlwind is waiting on the tables he will make your visit something of an experience as he rushes around serving everybody in site and he is such a friendly guy This area is so busy that it is a great place to sit and watch the world go by and we very often sit here enjoying coffees and Spanish brandies after the heat of the day has subsided until the early hours Our experiences here have always been good and we can reccomend this place Jeff & Karen
Revisited June 2024 Sadly this place has somewhat gone down hill since we were last here It has got much more commercialised and the food has become " less local and Spanish " more fast food ' like It is still a great place to socialise and have a drink in the busy area of the town A word of caution : Please...

This is the absolut worst place I’ve ever been to in my life. We came there and the waiter/owner was very nice to us at first. We were ordering 4 different tapas and my friend asked if the guacamole on the nachos was homemade and he said Yes.
The food came out after 5 minutes (at most), so it was too quick for them to have made it by themselves. I ordered octopus and it looked and tasted like catfood. I took one bite and was like hell no, I’m not going to eat this. It was really disgusting. And the Spanish omelette was right from the fridge in to the microwave you could tell. The guacamole was NOT homemade.
When we told the waiter/owner that we could pay for the sausages and my coke (the only things that were okey) he started yelling like I don’t know what. He didn’t even listen to us or what we had to say he just screamed that this is Spain and that he was going to call the police if we didn’t pay for all the things we hadn’t eaten. He was getting really threatening to us and we were actually scared of him. You can tell he was used to people complaining on the food. DONT...

We arrived and asked for wine four dirty glasses came to the table. The waiter poured the wine without asking if anyone would like to taste it then poured half of it over the table. Two of us had spaghetti Bolognese but they must have took the spaghetti from the fridge and it was ice cold ,sent it back then both came out at different times it was disgusting. Our friend took the burger which was inedible and the other took pizza that wasn't too bad.A guy said is everything ok and we said no and he just walked away. We asked for the bill but nobody would come near us so we left two thirds of the bill and that was far to much. The guy chased after us and we went inside to settle bill he said he was calling the police and called us all the names under the sun and told us to ? Off then man handled us out of the restaurant. Go there at...
