Pato Pekin — Restaurant in Santa Eulària des Riu

Having enjoyed dining here on previous holidays, we returned again in October 2024. Unfortunately our experience this time was very different from our previous visits. We received a table easy enough and got menus, but that was all. We sat for a very long time and were not asked if we would like to order drinks. Our daughter didn't fancy anything on the menu, so we had to try and get someone's attention to ask if they had a childrens menu. The answer was yes, but it actually took for us to ask if we could have one.. surely, seeing that you are dining with a child, the childrens menu should have been presented automatically. Still, no one came near our table, and still no offer of drinks. Looking around the restaurant there did not appear to be many people who were looking very happy.In the end, we went with our gut instinct, which was telling us that if the service is this bad, amd people appeared unhappy it did not bode well. We therefore left and went to another restaurant where we received a very warm welcome and instant offer of ordering drinks, once we were seated. We were, however, disappointed though, at seeing how much the service had deteriorated, as this had always been a go-to...

Located in " Restaurant Street " behind the bustling main street of the town Restaurant Street is a bustling street with lots of quality eating places and bars and gets very busy in the evening and it is a great area to sit and enjoy the atmosphere of the area. Pato Peking has an outside eating area on the street itself as well as quirky inside seating area guarded by a large golden Budda at the entrance The restaurant has an extensive menu of authentic Chinese meals all freshly prepared and simply delicious and there is also an extensive drinks menu with the set meals menu being of particularly good value The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and speak good English This is great place to enjoy a delicious and authentic Chinese meal Recommended Jeff & Karen

My wife and myself went for a meal to the patio Pekingese. We both ordered the soup followed by the main course. I finished mine well before my wife and as soon as I put my spoon down they were there with our main meals I explained my wife hadn’t finished and to come back in a minute . They totally ignored me and just stood there waiting while the food cooled down . As soon as my wife finished they snatched her soup bowl off her and put the main courses down . By now the food had cooled down , so off I went and asked the women who appeared in charge to take it away and heat it up . It came back less than a minute later still cold . I then asked for the bill for the soup only. With that the food was taken away and bought back piping hot . I shouldn’t have to go out and and threaten to leave for something to be done ,the lady in charge didn’t seem to care . Won’t go again and the food...
