Beautiful setting and the live Brazilian samba music was magic. But I left with a sour taste after being charged nearly €50 for three glasses of wine and water, even though I only ordered one glass. One glass.
I asked to switch wines after not enjoying the first. While I was still reviewing the menu, a different service staff member brought me another glass of the same without confirming anything. I hadn’t agreed to it, but I accepted it out of politeness. When I then told my waiter about the mistake he said, “I’ll bring you a Chablis next, you’ll like it.” I responded that I was driving and didn’t want another glass. I even said maybe just a taste would be fine but he insisted in making it right for the previous mistake.
To my surprise, a full third glass arrived without my consent. When the bill came, I had been charged for all three glasses of wine plus six euros for a small bottle of sparkling water. The total came to €48.
I raised the issue with the manager, who initially insisted it was my mistake. The only adjustment made was removing the service fee, which I hadn’t realized was being added in the first place. After a long conversation, she eventually agreed to remove the service charge and refunded €10 for one of the two glasses i never ordered and also didn’t drink (originally 16€ on the bill…)
I came for the music and atmosphere, which truly were lovely. But the way the service unfolded felt careless and pushy. As a solo guest who communicated clearly, I felt dismissed and completely taken advantage of. Gross.
This place has charm, but there was a lack of transparency around pricing, service, and a sincere absence of accountability or how restaurants of this caliber are meant to be run. I left feeling frustrated and scammed, not valued. A real loss. Would not recommend to anyone coming to Ibiza nor will I ever return, sadly…but the music and setting were lovely....
Read moreWow, what a great experience. The ambience of the Finca La Plaza is on a top level - very much attention to detail. This from the furnishings, to the small details on the tables. The food is very well prepared and perfectly tasted. For starters we enjoyed the delicious octopus and anchovies. For the main course then a whole fish prepared in one piece (grilled) and served at the table. Very good - and new for me - were the ingredients to the fish. There were kumquats with small tomatoes and potatoes. The kumquats gave the dish the right twist and made it a real flavor explosion. Congratulations to the kitchen team and to the person who put this side dish together. The service was also very accommodating and of a very high standard. The wine list is varied and the price-performance ratio absolutely fair. We enjoyed a drink at the end. The bar man is a professional, which was reflected in the result. Again, in short - great experience. Thanks to the whole Finca la Plaza team for letting us enjoy such a great evening with you. Well...
Read moreI discovered Finca La Plaza from one of the influencers I follow but tbh I didn't expect it to be as good! Where to begin: the service was impeccable, Erica made sure we always had what we needed and made great recommendations, the food was exceptional, we even got to ask the chef in person about one of the dishes as he visited our table (!!), the wine recommendations and tasting was a great experience taken care by the owner and sommelier, and of course the ambience and aesthetics of the place are just amazing. Last but not least, we got our own little wine cellar tour at the end of the night.😍 Regarding price range I believe it is pretty fair esp. when you take into account the level of gastronomy and overall dining experience. Definitely a side of Ibiza you don't want to miss out on ( for those who love the north of...
