Vegan meals great- I particularly like healthy vegan meals (& using delicious whole foods (unprocessed) without adding oils, sugars, salt). I went for the Poke Bowl- everything in it was perfect- mango, edamames, red cabbage, mushrooms, & quinoa with the soy sauce on the side to be able to use as much/little to suit tastes. I chose this as my main, as I was craving a mix of tasty vegetables & fruit, as these aren’t an option in a lot of restaurants menus in Santa Eularia (they focus more on meat, pasta, pizza, tapas with thankfully some vegan poke bowls, burgers, sushi to be found at least- difficult to even find a steamed/baked potato or steamed veg as a side) a shame as the supermarkets have an abundance of beautiful fruit, veg, lentils/beans, nuts that grow so well/large in the warm sunny climate- that the locals clearly enjoy) which had a great delicious mix of flavoured whole foods & I also got a side of mushy peas because I love them (they were perfect!). The homemade vegan burgers were another option I had, as I read on the menu they were homemade with whole food ingredients & had a spelt bun option. I’ll have to get one on my next holiday. It was one of the few places in Santa Eulària to have more than one vegan options for starters, mains, & desserts! They had a fruit crumble option- my favourite. They made it homemade in a healthy way just the way we make it at home, with a deep amount of fruit (in this case it was berries (I love all fruit types in crumbles- this one was beautiful & apple/rhubarb also grand with me- just please keep this as a vega option) & healthy (non oily/added margarine) oat topping. The little orange fruit garnish was yummy too. There were other vegan dessert options like a brownie that I could read on menu was made of great whole food non junk food ingredients too & a lovely fruit salad option too- all of which I would love to try next. There is clearly a staff member(s)/owner(s) in this restaurant that knows how to make vegan food- healthy, delicious, & filling. One suggestion for the crumble would be to thicken the custard a bit with some cornflower- it tasted great but if poured on the crumble it was lost in the juice of the fruit & you couldn’t taste it. I instead just poured it into my glass when empty & enjoyed the taste separately. The serving staff were very attentive, knowledgeable, caring to any needs, & always on the go with it being a popular place with lots of customers. Fab decor & chilled vibe. Thanks for a lovely food...
Read moreUpon my latest culinary escapade, I found myself at Project Social in Santa Eulalia, a gem on the roadside corner by the port carpark entrance. This vibrant spot, with its curbside dining area adorned with brightly painted chairs and upcycled tables, immediately enveloped me in its magical, welcoming embrace. Inside, the decor — an eclectic mix of rustic boho chic — exuded an unpretentious, cool vibe, promising good times. Egos and airs and graces to be left at the door - this was home from home.
On this particular Sunday, I was there for their much-acclaimed "Sunday Roast". Welcomed with open arms and immediate good humour, the service was swift and heartwarming. My wine appeared almost instantly, and my guest’s Bloody Mary arrived with an impressive promptness.
The place buzzed with a multinational community, a testament to its popularity. Consulting my fellow diners, I settled on the roast beef, while my partner chose the pork. The pork was nothing short of superior, topped with an ample serving of delectable crackling.
I am always looking at the value to price point balance - and the pork punched well above it's weight!
My initial concerns about the toughness of the beef and the doneness of the broccoli were unfounded (the knifes fault, not the chefs) — both were splendid, only slightly marred by being a touch below the ideal temperature - but honestly, I'm nit-picking - I didn't need to send it back to the kitchen, for perspective.
Throughout our meal, the service remained light-hearted and engaging. It seems that by mere virtue of walking through the door you're 'family'. The staff’s evident love for the community they serve added a special charm to our experience. This connection brought an enjoyable, resonant energy to the atmosphere.
When dessert time came, a playful exchange over a nut-free request — humorously met with a shout for ‘double the peanuts’ — added to the meal’s charm. The staff’s friendly banter and lack of political correctness were refreshingly delightful.
Concluding our meal, the bill presented a pleasant surprise, prompting me to leave a generous tip for the deserving staff.
Project Social, with its excellent food, warm service, and convivial ambiance, stands as a cherished establishment, a must-visit for anyone seeking a culinary experience that’s both heartwarming and palate-pleasing. I shall look forward to...
Read moreThis is one of those hidden gems, the type where when you've found it you ask yourself what took you so long. Decor of the interior is fascinating, diverse and totally eclectic, really down to earth. Massive array of drinks available, a wide range of alcohol free options including some of the best virgin mojitos I've ever tried (passion fruit and pineapple).
Food is exceptional, really interesting recipes and brings together ingredients I've not often seen. This gives a sense of utter indulgence, decadence and a little bit of gluttony (I could easily try one of everything on the menu).
Prices are below the average for the area and definitely below the standard of the food, they'd easily get away with higher prices.
Service is really friendly, makes new customers such as myself and my late teen daughters feel utterly welcome, a real gorgeous place to spend an evening enjoying culture.
Very, very highly...
