Great food, lovely location, very atmospheric inside. Unfortunately, as guests without a reservation and on a day when there was only one person dealing with everything outside the kitchen (reservations, orders, serving, etc.), we had to wait 40 minutes for our drinks and another 30 minutes for our food, and, in the end, we were never assigned a set table in the garden section, as promised; we ended up eating at the tiny makeshift table at the entrance to the grounds where we were first told to sit down and wait. Read moreAn absolute delight! So unexpected in the middle of our hike but absolutely brilliant. We had the pigs trotters (which just melted in the mouth, mouth wateringly delicious), anchovies and tomatoes on crostini (great textures and balance of flavours) and a traditional cannelloni (delicious creamy sauce and stuffed full of meat). For dessert the fruit "tiramisu" was fresh and delicious and the hazelnut ice was beautifully creamy. Really high quality ingredients and brilliant cooking. All in a charming building with a beautiful garden and views of the meadows and volcanes for coffee afterwards, and friendly helpful staff. Highlight of our trip...
