The cafe Paris is very pleasing on the eye and is set in a beautiful location. I requested a menu and I was informed to use the QR Code, I then asked for the wifi code and was given the password but this didn't work, I then used my data and the QR code did not work either..... A menu was then given to us but we we informed the prices were out of date, but at least we were able to order. Drinks were good and reasonably priced, we asked for sandwiches which should have been available until 2pm but they would not supply these at 13.30pm.., We then ordered 2 x chicken rice and the presentation was very good and we started our meal and it tasted quite good. My wife left a piece of chicken on the bone until near the end but when she cut into the meat blood literally dripped onto the plate as non of the meat touching the bone was cooked. We informed the waiter and he did not seem to concerned about it and passed no comment. Another waiter then came and asked if we wanted a dessert or coffee and when we said no thank you and highlighted our concern over the chicken again there was no real appreciation of how serious under cooked chicken was! We were flying out of Alicante airport the followng morning and yes my wife had food poisoning and she was sick and at the toilet all night. This is now 1 week later and she is still unwell. My main concern was the fact that when i emailed this cafe I did NOT recieve a response, I did say that I would not write a review but training on food preration and waiter traing was required and I expected some form of reply. After 4 days, I re sent my original email and todate I have heard nothing and this is why I am writing the negative review. A lovely cafe bar spoilt our break and the owner is obviously not concerned about how their food is being offered to...

As it's both a restaurant and café, it gets quite busy for the staff; as the one I had was pulled between them. Generally, the place has a nice relaxed atmosphere, with the cafe's sunloungers facing the sea. We only popped in for coffee & icecream, but were disappointed by the lack of it.
The 'Fresas Con Nata' was supposed to be strawberries & cream with icecream. You couldn't even see the icecream, it turned out to be half a boule, under a mountain of squirty cream. The 'Copa Macedonia' was a more fruity affair, with the cream sandwiched between mango and peach sorbets. This time there was fresh kiwi fruit, on top of a raspberry sorbet, with strawberries and cream bottom. Both looked great, even with biscuits sticking out the top. Sorbets are great for the height of summer, but shouldn't be confused with icecream.

The prices have gone up, but they're no more expensive than similar bars. Large tonic water & ice, original Coca Cola with ice (330ml), both came with lemon /lime. For lunch the potato wedges were very crispy, and came with free mixed olives. The main course of sirloin steak, came with a peppercorn sauce; with a side order of rustic grill chips. Be warned, the steak comes in very rare. The waiter very kindly cooked it a bit...
Read moreThis used to be a nice cocktail bar in Santa Pola, one of the nicest, but honestly, this year, the experience was horrible. Not only the drinks are below average and the Balinese beds are dirty and full of sand, but the service is rude and arrogant. There was no control at the entrance, you just choose your table, so there is no Covid-19 control. I ordered a frozen margarita and when it arrived to my table it wasn’t frozen, neither it tasted like margarita. I told the supervisor that the drink was not in good condition and he came back 5 min later to the table with the same drink in his hand saying that this is the way they serve it here and it is my problem if I don’t like it...I won’t come back that is for sure, I normally don’t write reviews but in this case I wanted to share it because they made me feel really bad. There are much nicer places where you can actually enjoy a drink in Santa Pola and the service is...
