Chiringuito Azul Santa Pola — Restaurant in Santa Pola

This is the second time that we have been disappointed with the service and treatment. Food over salted, waiters bringing food we are allergic to, noise levels, bad service etc… We have been coming to this restaurant since it was in East of Santa Pola before it became our local restaurant. Sadly, today is the second time that they have charged us for chupitos (tiny glasses with liquor that is usually offered free to customers) it’s not the 1.50€ charged but more the feeling that we are not appreciated as customers or treated the same as others. We spend around 100 or 147€ per week during our 6 week summer holiday and during the rest of the year when we are here, we also come as they open weekends. Food typical, salad with green tomatoes, paella over-cooked and overly salty. Waiter swarmy. Waiter didn't have a clue of what gluten was until he was informed and didn't know what gluten free diner could eat. When offered chupitos it then appeared on our bill. Pushy to get you off the tables, waiter sat staring at tables. Also extremely loud which doesn't make the most relaxing dining experience. Location is nice on the beach but place and food not all hyped up to be....

Llevamos mucho tiempo comiendo en este sitio, pero el servicio de hoy ha sido muy penoso, seguramente hemos tenido mala suerte con el camarero que nos ha tocado.. nos ha traído las cartas y después de esperar media hora para que nos tomara nota hemos tenido que llamar al camarero que atendía la mesa de la lado para que nos cogiera la comanda porque el nuestro no nos hacía ni caso... La comida como siempre muy buena, pero hemos pedido arroz para 5 personas y 3 platos combinados para los niños, pues nos hemos terminado el arroz y todavía no nos habían traído los platos de los niños y como el camarero seguía sin hacernos ni caso hemos tenido que entrar dentro del local para quejarnos de qué unos ya habíamos comido y los niños seguían esperando, pues a los dos segundos de la queja teníamos los platos en la mesa y ya estaban fríos seguramente estaban en la cocina esperando que alguien los recogiera y con los postres lo mismo unos hemos pedido postre y otros cafés, pues nos trae el postre y nos dice ahora vengo con los cafés.. lo mismo nos terminamos el postre y cuando consigo que me haga caso depues de llamarlo varias veces nos dice que si que los están preparando.. nos trae los cafes casi fríos seguramente llevaban esperando en la barra a qué se dignara a recogerlos.. resumiendo hemos llegado a las 14:00 y hemos terminado de comer a las 16:15 ... Un servicio tan penoso hace que la experiencia no haya...
