After being highly recommended to come to this restaurant by locals and family who live and holiday here often, we decided to give it a try! What a mistake. I have just left the restaurant after being given raw chicken wings as a starter. I am pregnant and my partner flagged this with the staff who were quite obviously annoyed we even flagged it. Replaced it with a prawn cocktail (which I enjoyed, as did my partner) then the mains come - my partners main had chorizo on which he is actually allergic to and he purposely didn’t order as they confirmed when we flagged it had it on. Then we had no cutlery to eat the mains - baring in mine not one course we could eat together where they had to keep fixing mistakes.
We asked for the bill and was told they had removed the drinks due to the burger confusion?!? The drinks weren’t the issue - the raw chicken and the chorizo situation was.
I would if rather of paid for the drinks and advised the team that they weren’t the issue. My partner dealt with the situation advised them thanks for the drinks removal but I’m not paying for the starter as tbh they were lucky he wanted to pay at all!!
It’s a shame as it was our last night on holiday and our last meal and it was a shambles- instead the staff were chatting away discussing some training instead of actually making sure the customers were being dealt with as they should.
I wouldn’t go here especially if you want a good service nice meal to enjoy with your family. I also don’t usually leave reviews - but it was leave a review or leave the restaurant without paying. I know...
Read moreI had heard good things about La Piedra, so stopped by for lunch. The cafe/bar is quite comfortable, with a good variety of seating options. The menu is diverse. I was tempted to order the fish and chips, but saw that this dish is only offered on Fridays, so settled for the double cheeseburger, chips/fries and a Spanish beer. The food arrived quickly. The fries, which appeared hand-cut, were hot, heavily salted, limp and overly greasy. The burger was surprising in that it had no garnish - no pickle, lettuce, tomato or onion at all - just a bun, two patties and copious portion of melted mozzarella. The patties looked to be commercial, frozen portions and were lean. Lean burgers tend to be dry and lack flavor. The only thing that saved the burger was the cheese. There is a more expensive Black Angus burger on the menu, which might be juicier and come with more fixings, but I'm not sure I would risk another...

Was passing again later before heading home and noticed Christian on, yet again a delight. Shook his hand and congratulated him and thanked him. The owner needs to appreciate his staff thats what...
