I was traveling from a faraway country and visited this place for my last meal before leaving Seville. I had €19.90 in cash, and I told the staff at the counter that I wanted to use all of it by paying €19.90 in cash and covering the rest with my card if necessary. Since my train time was approaching, I paid quickly and left. Later, when I checked my wallet, I realized that the McDonald’s staff had only charged €18.90 in cash and took an additional €1 from my card. In other words, I ended up paying €1 more than I should have, which means I paid a total of €19.90 instead of €18.90. Not only was the food terrible, but the service was also poor. It felt like they took advantage of me just because I was a foreigner, and that ruined the mood at the end of my trip. I immediately contacted McDonald’s headquarters by email to report what happened. They replied once asking me to send the receipt, but after I sent it, they didn’t even open my follow-up message. The fact that they didn’t bother to read it made me feel like I was the one being treated as if I was suspicious or strange, even though I was the one who got scammed. That was very upsetting. Even though it was a small amount of money, the experience left a really bad impression, and that is why I am leaving...
Read moreToilet not ideal without hand towels or dryer, but it is certainly useful! The food is as expected, and fast! The seating area is very suitable. Wifi is on and off. We camped out here for a while! Tried the McFlurry and were disappointed that it was just Ice-cream with the toppings on top, not mixed in—perhaps this is because they don’t use the plastic mixing spoon that attaches to the flurry machine in the US? The goat cheese burger was a fun Spanish-oriented item that we split five ways and were happy about; same with the goat cheese salad (which trumps US bowl sizes). The coffee was fine. And the “shaker” fries with the cheese powder—yum! We would totally opt for that option if it were the same price as regular fries. Not sure that it’s worth the up-charge going forward, but we have no regrets for these purchases as explorations.
One thing we’d say—don’t get any standard McDonalds fare while you’re here if you’re non-Spanish tourists. It’s overpriced comparatively, and it’s not satisfying in the face of all of these fun spanish foods!
The prices were pretty steep for fast food. Still a fun try. Especially coming out of the US. Highly recommend splitting items multiple ways, as this is more of a taste thing than a...
Read moreIt was 5:30am and this was the only place open in the station. The touch screens weren't switched on so I couldn't order. I scanned the QR code on the table. It opened a menu on a website. But you can't order from that. You must download an app. Once the app is downloaded you must find a code from your email. The app is not good. It wants permissions, location on etc. The menus on the app are not easy to navigate and my Spanish isn't good enough to understand how to add to my order. There is no option to change language on the app. By this point it was 6am and another cafe had opened so I quit trying and left. Also, the security guard kept walking over to stand by us. No idea why, we're well presented and it was easy to see what...
