Tuesday 1st Aug Service was extremely pleasant and the head waiter was most accommodating. There was a 20 min wait for a table but the staff worked extremely hard to keep us informed of the expected wait. If only there was an area to have pre-drinks in such a pretty location any waiting would be part of a very pleasurable experience. We were down to our table overlooking the bay and couldn't have been a better spot to dine. Service of drinks, food and overall attention given was very enjoyable due to the professionalism of all the service staff.

The wine was delicious, red tempranillo served at the perfect temperature on a barmy hot Mallorcan evening.

The food was delivered with a slight delay but totally to be expected when the paella was traditionally cooked to order. Portion size was good and both types of paella were steaming hot when arrived at the table. The delightful waitress served it with knowledge, humour and personality. Making the wait worthwhile. The mixed paella was flavoursome with a delicious hint of saffron. The rice was very slightly undercooked but all the shellfish was exquisite and tasty. The chicken morsels were a nice element. The vegetarian paella was the star though. Packed full of roasted med veg and the stock flavour through the perfectly cooked tender rice was simply delicious.

If I ever return to Cala Bona, will this place be high on my agenda to return. Absolutely top of the list for traditional tasty Spanish food, fabulous wine and first class service.

They even provided a full summer moon over the bay to eat and drink by. :-)

Muchas gracias por una noche...

I really wanted to love this restaurant , menu looked like it was right up my street . Presentation was good staff friendly and professional however the food experience didn’t meet the expectation. My wife and I often share a mixed paella and as this place was highly recommended for that I thought it best we try a paella . However the mixed didn’t come with much other stuff so we went for the meat paella . It was so disappointing. I totally get that it’s a compromise as it should be seafood but it was flavourless . The meat that was used was on the bone but it was twice as much bone as meat . My mother’s burger was pink when we asked for well done , personally it didn’t bother me as it tasted ok but was quite a distinctive flavour that would divide opinion . Although totally irrelevant I guess but this was the only restaurant in two weeks where my daughter didn’t like the chicken nuggets . I guess a failure on all front when I wanted and expected so...

Amazing views on the sea front , lovely atmosphere, however the staff were unwelcoming and looked miserable. Me and my family were only browsing and the bland menu didnt interest us whatsoever so we decided to eat elsewhere. When we paid the bill for our drinks and got up to leave, the owner approached us and at first seemed very friendly but gradually came off as a bit patronising as he said he owned a cheaper restaurant down the road and would give us a discount, we found this a bit condescending as he didn't know the full context to our decision which has led me to write this review. This is no reason to avoid the restaurant but I felt service as poor as what we received should be commented on and the owner should perhaps improve his menu before criticising someone's financial status without knowing the full extent of the situation and jumping to conclusions. No comment...

Mediterranea restaurant in Cala Bona offers an exceptional dining experience with its combination of seaside views, fantastic food, and outstanding service. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive and welcoming, making us feel at ease in the beautiful setting overlooking the Mediterranean. For starters, I had the Padron peppers, which were perfectly seasoned. This was followed by the main course of tiger prawns, which were cooked to perfection—succulent, fresh, and bursting with flavour. The quality of the seafood was remarkable, and each dish was presented beautifully. The location, right by the sea, enhances the experience with the sound of the waves in the background, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, Mediterranea is a must-visit in Cala Bona for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food in a picturesque setting, paired with top-notch service.

We found this restaurant when looking for some where to eat for my mother in laws birthday. The owner booked us in and we asked for a sea view which was amazing. When we arrived he made us all welcome and we got a complimentary drink to celebrate. We ordered our food with us all having steaks and the kids having chicken nuggets and a burger which were devoured straight away. Now the steaks were amazing the best steaks we have all ever had in our lives. Cooked to perfection and the seasoning just topped it off. Speaking to the owner he is Argentian and has lived on the island for years. All the food is brought in fresh and used the same day. A must visit for anyone. Just be patient when ordering as it's not quick with the food being served but well well worth the wait
