I would say you pay a good price for dinner that is nothing special. First of all be ready for no English speaking staff and menu. not at all!! So you are pretty unaware of what exact you get and even how many portions you actually ordered (we thought that we ordered one menu for 2 kids and a menu per adult, and it was not like this. it was a menu per person). Second is the quality of food. It was ok-isch but this is what I can make myself in the same 20-25min for 1/3 of the cost. Out of 4 snacks only one was 'interesting'. Mussels was not fresh (or cooked in the way to give it this taste). The main dish - paella Valenciana was not much more than dry rice with some chicken. (I really hope that it is not best place to get real paella otherwise I I am sorry for Valencia citizens calling paella Valenciana to be the top of local kitchen). All in all not recommended at all. KFC or likewise will be 5 times better price to...
Read moreHigh Expectations, Total Disappointment I do not understand the hype of this place. The paella valenciana was very salty, and the vegetable paella was soaked in oil and overcooked. The paella for our group was not brought to the table but served on plates in the kitchen, which took away the special moment of sharing it together. The service was a bit unfriendly and possibly overworked due to the large number of people brought in by buses. The outside area was good for the kids to walk around, but it had no playground or anything kid-related. The kids’ menu was eaten quickly and, surprisingly, tasted better than the paellas. Overall, a total disappointment! We have eaten better paella in Xativa and Valencia, and even better ones at a...
Read moreI dont get the bad reviews. This is the only place open after 5pm in El Palmar. So it's the only place where you can eat and then catch the boat tour to watch the sunset. The place has a real local atmosphere to it, which to me made me feel like i was getting the real deal. The employees didn't speak English and the menu was in Spanish but you don't need to be Albert Einstein to figure it out. The paella was delicious. If you are looking for something bugee to put on your instagram, this is not the place. But if you want to taste a delicious Valencian paella for dinner in El Palmar then it's a decent place and well priced. 15 Euros for entree main and a dessert + tee and...
