Dicey Reillys Irish Bar — Restaurant in Tías

On Wednesday 2nd August 2017 we had an evening in Dicey Reilly’s Irish Bar. The big guy serving behind the bar (he calls himself Brendan, the owner) was the biggest psycho we have ever had the misfortune to meet, after 5 cocktails with little or no alcohol in them my wife asked for more tonic for her G&T drink as it seemed a bit flat, she was then met with a torrent of abuse from this horrible monster, he snatched her drink and threw it down the sink, he then shook the bottle of tonic trying to prove it wasn’t flat and it went all over himself, he then did the same with a new tonic bottle with most of it ending up on the floor, he then poured another drink and slammed it down on the bar in front of her. My only regret is she never told me until we got back to our apartment that evening and I either wasn’t there at the time or I was up watching Jay and didn’t see it happen, but then again I think it was best I didn’t as the Spanish Police would have had to be called to break up the resulting ruckus. The one star is for the nice friendly people from Dublin and the rest of Ireland who were in the Bar at the time who along with Jay made the night bearable. Place was great drinks are cheap the same for cocktails are 5 euros compared to 13 in Dublin but you need to get there early for a table unless you are comfortable with high chairs the bar staff are great go on well with ann didn't mean the owner but seemed alot of fun also loved dipping into his own profits with the amount of shots and drinks he was handing out the live music was good with a good mix of modern music and irish trad but the only downside of the place is because it's small it's a sweat box but over all great place...

We were really looking forward to our visit after reading all of the amazing reviews. Unfortunately we encountered a very rude barman. We made the mistake of opening the window as it was very hot inside. We obviously don't own a bar in Lanzarote so didn't know about the noise rules. He came over and spoke to me like utter dirt or shouted more like. Horrible treatment for an honest mistake. Band was amazing however. Such a shame to be made as welcome as a fart in...
