When I arrived at the restaurant, there were no other guests there, so I thought maybe the place was closed. I tried to make eye contact with a woman (who turned out to be the waitress) who was on the phone, to ask if the place is indeed open. After a while I realised she had indeed seen me, and she was not talking in the phone either, so probably waiting in line for something. I said «pardon», onto which she replied annoyed «siii», without even looking in my direction. I asked if they were closed, but they were indeed open, and she finally gave me attention, and showed me to a table. I ordered a steak with potatoes and a mustard sauce. I was told the mustard was cold, but it turned out that everything on the plate was cold. The waitress «explained» to me (she did not know english well, and I don’t know spanish) something about the meat being taken from the fridge, and being so large, so not the whole piece was properly cooked (or something like that). I asked why the potatoes also were cold- yeah, no, something-something about the heat on the stove not being even. Any way you put it, it does not make sense, as both the steak and potatoes were all done, properly cooked, but cold. I finally got the dish as it is supposed to be-warm, and I will give it two points only on the account that it tasted good, and the place looked nice. I don’t know if it was because I had sneakers and shorts on, or that I am a foreigner, but I am convinced they did this deliberately, and it was a truly...
Read moreWe had an unforgettable brunch at El Jardín de Tacoronte. The location is incredible, nestled in nature with plenty of parking spots. Inside, the decor blends modern elements with a touch of traditional charm, featuring a massive charcoal grill and a spacious bar. We chose to sit outside on their beautiful terrace, which offers a distant yet stunning sea view, surrounded by palm trees and lush vegetation.
The brunch menu is a steal at €37 per couple, and saying it’s massive would be an understatement. It includes five plates, bread with butter and jam, yogurt with fruit, and a delicious homemade cake — all super fresh. The drinks selection is generous, with a coffee of your choice, water, natural juice, and a glass of cava.
The service was outstanding, attentive, present, and very accommodating. As we don't eat meat or fish, we requested some changes to the menu, and they handled it without any issues. We’ll definitely keep coming back here. Highly...
Read moreWell where to start, perhaps with the positives, wait staff were extremely friendly, and the setting is gorgeous, however the following let it down hense the 2 star review IMO. Probably the red flag should have been the Christmas party disco tech going on in the bar area, however with the amount of high reviews we decided to plow ahead and give it a go. Unfortunately we were not given serviettes, -White fish had bones in it still -Wine was given after our meal arrived, it was given as more of a I am sorry, but by that point we just wanted to leave. -Menus given in French and English however when trying to order of a menu other than in Spanish the wait staff don’t understand as they only speak Spanish, would have preferred to just get a Spanish menu, I can make do and make the order more easily. -Heaters are onsite to keep you warm, but only if there is enough gas in the bottle, this was not the case this time unfortunately. Perhaps it was just...
