Michelin in Manhattan prices for gas station service on a random road in tancorote. Here is the receipt. A few major issues: (1) The waiter immediately treated us like if we were a waste of his time while ordering appetizers and drinks. He profiled us! and asdumed we were going to be cheap (2) severers were horrible throughout. Didn't ask for refills of waters or wine, were impossible to track down, served us last the entire time. I would not mind if it were a gas station, but for a 400 euro meal its off base (3) charged 18 euros for 8 people for bread (and a shared bottle of olive oil) and gave us 6 small pieces. This is way off base. (4) we brought a birthday cake, and were charged 1.50 a person to cut and serve it. Ironically we cut and served the cake ourselves. They did give us plates but at the wrong time, it was a surprise cake and the server threw plates and dropped some spoons at us. We asked why they are doing this now and the server said it was "to save him a trip". So they charged 12 euros to bring a cake, mess up a surprise, and drop a few plates "to save him a trip". I will note that this place used to be good back in the 80s and 90s. The new changes are not good. I think this is going down the trend of restaurants losing character fueled by MacDonalds and Burger king.

ATENCIÓN Segundo, me gustaría que mejorasen la atención, ya que el trato recibido por todos los camareros fue nefasto. No te saludan, y cuando te hablan, parece que te están haciendo un favor. El que nos tomó la comanda no conocía bien la carta y no supo recomendarnos ningún corte. Cuando le preguntamos por la diferencia entre el churrasco, entrecôte y lomo alto se limitó a respondernos que era todo lo mismo. ENTRANTES La empanada de carne es un sacrilegio que parecía más bien un rollito de primavera. Un argentino hiperventilaria solo con verla. Por favor cámbienle el nombre. Luego pedimos las setas asadas, que estaban buenas pero la mitad del plato era lechuga. Definitivamente no vale los +10€ que pagamos. CARNE La carne estaba buena y venía sellada del asador junto a una piedra para poder darle el punto que uno quiera. La calidad era buena y estaba muy tierna. Adjunto foto del plato que nos sirvieron. No obstante, la ración nos pareció escasa y cara para 3 personas a más de 60€. RESUMEN El Campo ya no es lo que era. Los precios han subido muchísimo y las raciones son considerablemente más pequeñas que antes. Súmale a todo esto la pésima atención recibida y el hecho de que la oferta de restaurantes de carne en Tenerife es mucho más amplia que años atrás y terminas dándote cuenta de que no vale la pena comer en el restaurante El Campo, por lo que no volveremos.

I have been eating meat and vegetables in this restaurant for many years. I have never met a worse establishment in my life. The vegetables were prepared frozen and served on a plate. You fry the meat in a frying pan yourself, where all your clothes stink. Why not install the equipment? hmm, why? There is no service for the client; spices are served in a disposable bag. there is no service like in a restaurant. Question? why go and pay more than 100 euros for meat? when there are many wonderful restaurants. Friends, check your account!! they lie and write more than you ordered

Decidid to try this restaurant again after a long absence and knowing that a change of ownership had taken place. Ordered garlic prawns to share.6 Prawns at 13.50 euros they were tasty but 3 each very stingy, added that the bread was poor quality to soak up the garlic juices. Mains was a shared "estilo Chateaubriand" their wording not mine which states for two persons. Again 6 pieces of tenderloin steak, a portion of chips adequate for one person not two with a few bits of onion and peppers thrown on top for 44 euros. The bearnaise sauce didn't appear untill we asked again and the waiter had been touring the restaurant trying to place the said sauce.He apologised but clearly obvious of a lack of coodernation. First choice of wine we selected not available,dessert was adequate for two and a Chupito was offered. What should have been a pleasant lunch was dissappointing experience for 90 euros. Now before the owner answers my comments. You have not been offering 50 years of service that was the previous owner. Yes we know the prices except for the rice dishes offered that are not on the menu so no prices,what you do expect for the price of a restaurant of this catergory is quality and...

La peor experiencia que he tenido en un restaurante jamás. Fuimos por el cumpleaños de mi suegro, éramos 4 personas y tardamos 3 horas en comer.

Para el centro pedimos unos pimientos asados; un surtido de quesos con miel y frutos secos, y unos huevos revueltos, pues bien, el surtido de quesos solo era un tipo de queso y sin miel, y los huevos revueltos nunca llegaron, a pesar de que lo recordamos hasta en 3 ocasiones…como platos principales pedimos un codillo al horno con papas panaderas, y un lomo alto para 3 personas con papas fritas SIN CEBOLLA por alergia: El codillo estaba súper seco, y le pusieron 4 papas fritas súper duras. El lomo alto eran, literalmente, 5 trozos para tres personas, y las papas CON CEBOLLA, menos mal que se dijo que era alérgico. Pusieron tan poco lomo que tuvieron que pedir otro (40€ el Kg), y volvemos a recordar lo de la cebolla; éste llega con buena cantidad, pero CON CEBOLLA de nuevo y con la plancha completamente fría, teniendo que pedir otra, la cual llegó más fría aún…impresionante. Llega la hora de los postres, estuvimos esperando media hora a que nos dijeran que había. Una vez pedidos, esperamos muchísimo por ellos; por lo menos se acordaron de poner las velas que les dimos.

Al terminar, pedimos la cuenta, no una vez, si no hasta 4 veces, y cuando la traen estaban cobrados los huevos revueltos, y el vino por el doble del precio que nos habían dicho, en vez de 21€, 37€, casi nada. La “corrigen”, y la traen de nuevo con los huevos que nunca se pusieron. Cuando por fin conseguimos la cuenta definitiva, nada más y nada menos que 205€, nos dicen que no tienen datáfono y que solo se puede pagar en efectivo o por transferencia (ya lo podrían haber avisado al empezar). Cuando vamos a hacer la transferencia nos damos cuenta que nos han dado el número de cuenta mal, faltaban números, les pedimos de nuevo el número y vienen a comprobar que estamos pagando (la verdad, tendríamos que habernos ido sin pagar) y nos piden perdón por lo del datáfono…¿Perdón por el datáfono, de verdad?

En fin…no le recomendaría este sitio ni a mi peor enemigo, con lo que era este restaurante antes.

P.D: lo del ambiente es subjetivo, no es malo como tal, simplemente creo que tiene muy mala iluminación, y una peor ventilación teniendo en cuenta que se está haciendo carne constantemente. Ah, y se fue la luz. Los pimientos y el tiramisú si estaban...
