Pepe's & Lugano — Restaurant in Tarragona

My visit here was underwhelming. The service was slow from the start—getting a menu took ages, and the staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than helping customers. The food was a letdown; it looked okay but tasted bland, like they didn’t put much effort into the preparation. The portions were also tiny for what we paid, which felt like a rip-off. The restaurant itself was clean but lacked any real charm, and the noise level was annoying—too many people packed in too tightly. I was hoping for a nice evening, but this place didn’t deliver. The three staff members was absolutely rude from the first minute. They didn't want to seat us inside although there were free tables. So we sat down outside. Unfortunately we don't speak Spanish, but they didn't even try to understand us (English). They brought us false food (we thought It's salad to the rice we ordered) and admitted it was a mistake, but charged us for it. Also we ordered 1 portion of rice amd got 2 (although she asked of we only wanted one and we said yes!) It's a chiringuito so the value is in the location not fancy food or service. That said, the girls working the middle one (there are three chiris on this beach) were cheerful and delighted in helping me with my Spanish, the food was surpringly good. We routinely got the pimiemtas de pardon and the torreznos. Gotta say their torreznos were the best that we have had in all of Spain.
