PIZZERIA IL FORNO — Restaurant in Torremolinos

VERY BAD SERVICE THE FIRST TIME I VISITED THIS PLACE I SAT DOWN AT A TABLE WHEN THE GIRL WORKING THERE CAME OVER I ASKED FOR A PIZZA OFF THE MENU THEN WHEN I ORDERED THE PIZZA SHE SAID THAT I COULD NOT EAT IT HERE THAT I CAN ONLY ORDER A PIZZA TO TAKE AWAY, A FEW DAY LATER I WENT THERE AGAIN AND SEEN THE WAITERS BRING DOWN PIZZA TO PEOPLE SITTING AT TABLES I FOUND THIS STRANGE AS I WAS REFUSED TO EAT A PIZZA AT A TABLE I DID NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS I THEN ORDERED A PIZZA FROM THE SAME GIRL AGAIN SHE SAID ONLY TAKE AWAY AND I SAID OK THAT WILL BE FINE, THE PIZZA WAS MADE AND COOKED IN ABOUT 3 MINUTES AND WHEN I BROUGHT IT BACK THE MY HOTEL IT WAS NOT COOKED RIGHT AND THE QUALITY OF THE PIZZA WAS MADE VERY BAD COMPARED TO THE FIRST PIZZA I GOT THERE THE FIRST TIME AND THE PIZZA THAT WAS BEEN SERVED TO OTHER PEOPLE THERE , I AM FROM IRELAND AND I THINK THAT THE GIRL IN THE RESTAURANT DID NOT LIKE THE LOOK OF ME OR DID NOT LIKE IRISH PEOPLE I WAS REALLY ANNOYED ABOUT THIS AND I SHOULD HAVE MADE A COMPLAINT TO THE MANAGER BUT I WAS IN SUCH A BAD MOOD THAT I DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE THE HOTEL AS I HAD TO CATCH AN EARLY FLIGHT THE...

The waitress was attentive, kind and very helpful in giving us food recommendations. The food was excellent! We ordered the Il Forno pizza (the best thin crust pizza I’ve had with a runny egg in the centre) along with a creamy carbonara and tasty beef carpaccio. The restaurant is cozy, warm, and has that homey feel as you see the stone baked oven and chef prepare the food.

The waitress could tell it was our first food experience here, and offered us a shot of Lemoncello on the house after our meal! And the price is very good, especially for the quality!

My partner and I stumbled upon this place as one of the only places open on a Tuesday evening on our first night in Torremolinos and we returned on our last night as it was our favourite restaurant. It's ran by 2 people and they work very hard!! We both had pizza and pasta on different visits and both times were perfect! We personally recommend the fettuccine de salmon caviar!! Staff were very welcoming. It is only a small restaurant so advise you arrive near opening or reserve a table. A must visit if you are in the area.
