Playa del Lido — Attraction in Torremolinos

A long stretch of beach, with a sidewalk which is great to walk along and see all the different parts of the beach. Plenty of bars and restaurants along the strip. Showers to wash off which is brilliant. Sunbeds are €7 for one with an umbrella or two with umbrella €14. If you just sit on one, the men will come over. The sun loungers are worth it and comfortable, but I tried not to get them all the time as it’s a bit pricey. The sand gets real hot so make sure you wear your flip flops/ sandals right to the water edge. You do get hassled a bit from the “looky looky men” and it can get annoying, but just remember to be friendly when saying no, or just look busy, they’re just trying to make a living and it must be hot and tiring walking up and down the beach carrying all that stuff! They are quite friendly and actually funny with their little sayings trying to get you interested. I like the big recycling fish models they have going up the beaches. There’s some cool sand sculptures. I wouldn’t say the sea is clear, but it’s definitely cool and lovely to swim in. There are water sports/activities that you can do. I didn’t like the sand too much.....

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cette petite ville balnéaire, à laquelle il ne manque strictement rien. Une très belle plage, propre, aménagée de transats et parasols en nombre, à partir de 7 € par jour, la possibilité de se faire livrer des rafraîchissements et un accès aménagé pour aller se baigner. Attention ça descend d'un coup. Pour manger, sur environ 1 kms de long, des restaurants de partout et des spécialités de poissons à profusion. Aussi bien sur le front de mer, que dans la petite rue derrière. On peut flâner dans les boutiques de souvenirs, vêtements, etc.. Et au retour nous avions pris l'habitude de nous arrêter au glacier artisanal pour nous régaler de boules énormes et succulentes.
