We decided to try this place after reading so many good reviews. As a starter, we had fried eggplant with breadcrumbs, honey and Parmesan. Honestly, it wasn’t great – very greasy and way too sweet from all the honey. The first few bites were fine, but after that it just felt heavy and bland.

For the mains, we ordered grilled chicken (with salad instead of fries) and a tuna steak. At first, a tuna salad arrived, which confused us because we thought that was supposed to be the main dish, but eventually the meals we ordered came out.

The chicken breast was actually very good – tender and tasty – served with beans and peppers, which worked well. That’s when we realized the tuna salad was probably meant to replace the fries that never came with the chicken dish 🤔 tuna steak, on the other hand, was a bit overcooked and slightly dry, but still okay. It came with potatoes and a small pepper and bean salad.

He comido muchas veces en el Restaurante Martín y siempre salgo contento. Es de esos sitios donde sabes que la comida va a estar buena, el trato va a ser cercano, y la experiencia en general, redonda. Por algo lleva tantos años funcionando en La Mata… y lo que le queda.

El sitio tiene ese toque familiar de restaurante de toda la vida, pero con un servicio muy profesional. El personal es amable, rápido y atento, incluso cuando está lleno (que suele estarlo). Da igual si vas en pareja, con amigos o con la familia: te hacen sentir bienvenido desde el minuto uno.

Excelente lugar para compartir con la familia, muy buen servicio, los camareros siempre atentos y los de la barra igual de profesionales. El responsable también muy atento, siempre nos reserva las mejores mesas y se asegura de que estemos a gusto.

Mi recomendación personal: • La paella mixta nunca falla, con buen sabor, ingredientes de calidad. • Si te gusta el marisco, el pulpo a la gallega o los boquerones. • Las frituras de pescado crujientes, se notan recién hechas. • La fusión de queso o la copa de turrón como postre son una delicia.

La terraza es un lujo, especialmente con buen tiempo. Estás al lado del mar, se está fresco y el ambiente es tranquilo. Es el típico sitio donde te apetece quedarte más rato de lo que pensabas.

El precio está más que bien por lo que ofrecen (unos 25-30 euros por persona), sobre todo teniendo en cuenta la calidad del producto y la atención que recibes.

En resumen: comida mediterránea hecha con cariño, servicio excelente y un ambiente que invita a repetir. No me extraña que sea tan recomendado por tanta gente. Si estás por La Mata, tienes que probarlo. Totalmente...

Great seafood paella (arroz con mariscos). Very fast service even on Saturday night in August, I expected a longer wait. Free fries with alioli sauce and drinks were brought to us in 3 minutes, the main courses followed soon. Simple and typical Spanish interior design, very friendly waiters and the owner.
