Tweetys Fish And Chips — Restaurant in Torrevieja

Well this is a little hidden away gem. We saw the advertisement on Facebook for this place and so while out that way we popped in for a bite to eat ! Fish and chips and more If you love a traditional English style fish and chips meal the head here.. They offer a range of plates cod, place haddock etc plus the do a fantastic range of southern fried chicken to satisfy most appetites. We sampled the Cod and chips meal with of course a hearty helping of mushy peas.. And a Boneless southern fried strip meal and chips. Washed away with two pints of glorious cold shandy.. Let me tell you.. We were stuffed after , the meal wasspoton, plenty of portion size and super nice friendly hospitality. The owners have been here for 20 years so that's an achievement and tells you something. It's location is on the second floor tucked away behind another establishment but there is a life and stairs for the energetic amongst you. You will be needing the lift once you're eaten mind you as it's defo filling. Tbh I could have had a smaller portion but knowing most places the portions are smaller.. Bear that in mind. There is plenty of on street parking outside so don't worry about that. Tweety's Torrivejia... It's on Google maps for those who seek a traditional English ,full portion, great value for money meal. You can find them also on the Facebook platform. Give it a try it's all I can say.. We will be back to sample some more form the menu soon and who knows , we may see you there.. Support you're own and keep little businesses going like these.. they deserve it and work hard to satisfy us...

This is the worst fish and chips we have ever had in Spain. I had to give it one star to even review it. We opted for a take away after a long day xmas shopping. Our usual establishment in Quesada was closed for some unknown reason so we googled and found Tweetys with good reviews. These cant possibly be genuine. Let me explain. The fish suppers were made fresh as stated. No greaseproof paper used to wrap them. No salt and vinegar to keep the car from smelling. After 5 mins to get home the fish were starting to smell. Sign of unfresh fish. We got in and right away tried to open them. Because of the lack of suitable wrapping the paper had disintegrated and had blended into greasy mush with what it was trying to preserve. The smell was appalling and the grease that it wss swimming in made it inedible. This was not cheap at a whopping €13.90 for 2 servings. How this got 5 stars from anyone baffles me! I have just come back from the basuras where this...

This was our second time visiting Tweety’s in Torrevieja. Both our visits were amazing and didn’t fault to disappoint. The food is cooked to perfection, the chips are PROPER HAND MADE chips from real potatoes and are served piping hot, the fried chicken is unique and so different from what you get at all the chain chicken restaurants, the jacket potatoes, burgers, sausages are all equally good as well. To top it up - a service with a smile, football on the TV - all makes this a perfect joint. Thanks for serving good quality food, at reasonably prices. This is now going to be our regular places...
