Lizarran — Restaurant in Tortosa

Terrible experience:

Went in with a large group at 11:45 during a big tournament, CSIT amateur world games (3,000 plus athletes). We had to eat lunch before typical Spanish lunch time, we asked if we could get food at that time. They said yes,. We were in a table of ten and table of 6. The server took our orders and said it might take a while as the chef was preparing the lunch special for the day. We all understood that it might take a bit.

The table of ten gets their food at 12:15, the table of 6 waits and waits and waits. It's now 1:15, we ask where our food is, the server tells us the chef is not making our food while all 4 workers are now around the corner (including the chef) eating their lunch out of view.

Hemos llegado que faltaba poco para que se fuera el cocinero, aún así nos han dicho que pidiéramos. Entiendo que si cierra y no nos pueden atender por la hora nos hubiéramos ido sin problema. La camarera que nos ha sentado era muy maja (una chica rubia), el camarero que nos ha atendido el último, simpático (un chico con barba) pero la camarera que nos ha tomado nota (una chica morena) todo lo contrario a ellos dos. Entiendo que vayas con prisa porque cierra la cocina pero coger mal la nota no está bien. Se pide bravas con la salsa aparte y las trae con la salsa encima (cuando al pedirlas lo ha repetido). Al traerlas a la mesa y decir que eran con la salsa aparte ha venido la camarera a replicar diciendo que no lo hemos dicho, que las repetían pero dándonos a saber que estaba ofendida y de forma prepotente. De segundo se pide huevos rotos con jamón (de la carta son sin queso) y al decir que se quiere de primero nos da a entender que son iguales los del menú pero no, los del menú tienen salsa de queso y sal de jamón y los otros solo jamón; también de segundo se pide bacalao y en vez de esos segundos traen parrillada... Lo siento pero no sé los nombres de los camareros. Son detalles que hacen que una buena experiencia pase a ser una mala experiencia. Pondría dos estrellas por la camarera pero los demás trabajadores...

I loved my visit here and a great place for tourists. They serve a variety of different comfort foods. The place has great atmosphere, nice and cool temperature and good pop music in the background.
