We had a great experience at Casa Cesar. Here they run a format where they create a menu where the rice is the main dish. They serve some appetizers of their choice, depending on what was in the market that day.

As appetizers we were awarded with a Russian salad, Clams and Grilled squid. Russian salad surprised us for the lack of potatos nor tuna, mainly done with egg white , yolk on top and some green beans, also suprising was the addition of ketchup on top. Can’t say it was my favorite. But still ok. Clams were the classic white wine and oil version and the grilled calamari was grilled on paprika. Probably oil , garlic and parsley might have work better but it was still good.

After this, the stars appeared. We ordered paella Valenciana for 2 people and Seafood paella for 2 as well. Paella Valenciana was correct, good levels of flavor in rice, rabbit and chicken, as well as delicious socarrat. Seafood was even better, super flavorful as well.

The 35€ per person deal also includes all the reasonable amount of drinks you can get, in our case was 1 soft drink, 2 beers and 2 bottles of white as well as coffees & desserts for everyone.

We found the meal deal quite reasonable and the rice level was on par with the best ones in town. Staff was kind and accommodating. So we give them 5 stars for delivering a great experience with excellent...

I order a 29.7€ menu (3 person a table, price per person) today and is “muy perfecto”

Three dishes of appetizer included seafood salad, steam clamp and a nicely grilled squid dress with smooth olive oil and paprika.

Main course, squid ink palla is fantastic. The intense flavor which the ink provide is unbelievable well done!

Homemade desert is great as well, serve with blue berry cheese cake, cinnamon carrot cake and pudding top with coconut flakes.

The must mention will be the ending coffee and Liquor. Homemade digestif really make the dinning experience “perfecto”. Choices of homemade creamy rum ( not sure it added Dos maderas 5+5 or not), Cassalla Cevero aniseed spirit (46% vol) and other refreshment.

By the way, the liquor collection there is quite good. America Bourbon, England Whisky ( Macallen 12 is on the shelf as well), bunch of rum (Dos Maderas and Zaccapa) and a bunch of gin.

The friendly female who hosted us also treat me a shot of pedro xemenez sherry which is surprisingly good as well compare to...

We had a lot of great foodie experiences during our holiday, but this one was probably our favourite. I just wish we'd had the time for the set menu. One day we'll come back!

As it was, we sampled one starter, paella and a dessert. The staff were clearly so enthusiastic and passionate about their food and dishes, and took the time to explain certain dishes to us. The prawns in our paella were probably the most perfectly cooked we'd ever tried! Really relaxed and friendly environment too.

You have to order the traditional Valencian paella in advance as it takes 1.5 hours, but all other options were available on the day.

Not the place to come if you're in a rush, but otherwise recommend to anyone. Delicious food and all round...
