The place is your typical tourist beach restaurant. That being said, it should not be acceptable to:
Not know any English when doing this kind of service in 2024 on the beach. Having this bad behaviour towards customers. Having this bad management over the whole restaurant.
Incredible how the place was not even packed as it would be in the summer and they (all the waiters) still managed to spin around everywhere and not do anything. The food took very long to arrive (about an hour). There was a table near us that made a game when they saw a waiter delivering food they'd yell. It didn't happen that often.
We ordered a lunch menu which included two entrees and a main dish. So we ordered a valenciana salad and fried squid. The floor manager delivered us the salad and potatoes. We told him that we ordered fried squid instead of the potatoes and he shouted at us "calamari" (we deduced something in the lines of "you get this and you eat it!") and then he left. We had to ask another waiter to change our food. So we got this after about an hour. After that, we had to ask some other waiter for our drinks like three times before finally getting that. Before finishing our entrees some of them threw the paella pan on our table and left. We ate it, it was decent. When needing to leave, we had to go to the bar to get our check and get a coffee included in the menu.
The experience was awful, the staff and especially the floor manager also! The whole thing wasted like 2.5 hours of that day. There was only one "normal" guy that barely spoke English that helped us with some questions. But man, I simply don't understand how this place got such a big...
Read moreThe food was good so it would deserve more stars in that sense.. the problem was the organization and the service. She lady who placed people at table was completely disorganized, moving chair and tables disturbing ongoing customers. We all arrived with the booking at 3.30pm but nothing was ready. Even have the feeling she placed Spanish people before foreigners… which was not fair. We ended at top end of the terrace while front line was empty. So I told her if she can move our table in front which make much more sense and she said yes. After a time she said no and was angry for no reason. We waited more than 30 mn and didn’t get a good table. Poor people who were supposed to enjoy the sea view and had bunch of people in front of them waiting to be seated. Why they don’t organize a line on the side ? Why they don’t ask people coming 30mn later… on top , our waitress was terrible , super agressive in her gesture and not smiling. You can feel she doesn’t like working here.. she literally threw the plates and cutlery on table. Usually service is good in Spain and this is our worst experience… I don’t have her name , thin and short light brown hair. She forget everything we asked her and at the end we simply ask other waiters. Our plan plan was to go at El trompo but It was fully booked . I wouldn’t go back to Novamar. They need a manager on site to...

We had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Food leftovers and trash on tables was casually wiped onto the floor by staff—right in front of us. The toilets? Let’s just say I’ve seen cleaner gas station restrooms. Hair everywhere, puddles, and toilet paper on the stairs.
Communication was a challenge as the staff didn’t seem to speak English, which made the already limited menu even harder to navigate. Speaking of which, we came with 12 people and were told we could only choose two dishes. The paella portions were tiny, almost like a tasting menu—without the taste.
Halfway through, the awning was opened, and it got noticeably colder. It felt like a subtle hint that we should wrap it up. We asked for an ashtray and never got one - maybe the floor that served as their general waste storage served as ashtray as well. The cutlery was dirty, and even after asking for clean ones, the only thing what we got was an annoyed face from the manager and a new pair of cutlery with fatty stains.
To top it all off, we were approached by people begging at our table, and the staff didn’t seem bothered at all.
Not exactly the relaxing Spanish evening we...
