Horrible experience.
It started out nice when I found an open beachside table. I perused the menu, and while doing so, several (6) children were running around the tables, all the while the server was delivering food. The children were bumping into tables of people, including my table, and no parents were anywhere in sight. The staff did absolutely nothing to control this travesty. I grabbed my bag and went inside. I shared my concern with staff, and he ignored my concern and offered me a table inside. It may be a Spanish thing to allow the children to run loose and annoy the customers.
As I was hungry, I took a seat. The food was "so-so." However, the atmosphere with children on the loose was terrifying! Serious injuries will occur with this allowed behavior.
Then, for a topper to this experience, while eating my meal, I looked out the window to see a parent changing the diaper of one of the children - ON THE RESTAURANT TABLE!!
Therefore, although this provides the impression of a nice restaurant, beware that you will notice diapers being changed and children...
Read moreAfter reading a couple of the reviews of this place and others around it, I did not go with high expectations for the service and i still was disappointed. Service is not the forte of many places in Spain in my experience. I went to this place 3 times during a one-week period. The first time the server brought me the wrong fish, the second time another server brought me the wrong paella and the third time a completely diff server charged me two paellas instead of just one and gave me the most dishonest reason to do so. How you manage to mess up three times out of three is incomprehensible to me. It looks like minor mistakes, but each paella take about 45-50 minutes to get done. And the fish, depending on which, takes about the same time. So if they mess up, you either eat the wrong item or you wait another 45 minutes. It is one of the most, if not the most, disappointing experience i have had eating anywhere. The taste of the food was good. However, i will NEVER visit this...
Read moreWent here with a group of friends, well I actually wouldn't call them friends really but they were a group also going to Valencia and as some of my followers may know I am gravely afraid of dining alone so I brought them with me.
I asked the waiter for the finest vegan seafood paella. They brought it perfect timing, but to my shock and horror a langoustine crawled out from beneath the rice and pinched me with their sharp claws, I started bleeding profusly and desperately beckoned the wait staff over to call someone to aid for me.
All 36 staff members laughed at me and watched me lose 1.78 pints of blood, eventually one of my "friends" called me an ambulance. Apologies for any spelling/grammar mistakes as I am writing this review in a hospital bed with one eye (sea aboov laungustetine incdient)
