BAR RUTH — Restaurant in Valladolid

Not putting half a star because I can't. Otherwise, the worst customer service I've seen in Valladolid. We tried to eat here three times and the waitress (a lady in her 60s) almost kicked us out every time. The first time we asked if she had the tortilla for which they're so famous. She grunted "At this hour no" with a sourpuss face. We promised to come back in the morning another day although it doesn't say anywhere that tortilla was available in the mornings only and we asked for it around lunchtime. The second time we went in, we saw she didn't have a tortilla at a decent 11 am hour, so we exited the bar without ordering. She started to berate us: goodbye, I hope you enjoyed it. We didn't pay much attention to it at first and thought it was a goodbye meant for someone else. We returned after some minutes thinking we should give another chance to another product, and decided to order. We couldn't even do it because as soon as she saw us she told us she was closing. Always staring at us with an angry almost annoyed face. She did all that in the presence of other customers and blatantly lied since the schedule didn't state the hour we were in as a closing time. Probably because we were foreigners or something, but we didn't ask for anything for free or smelt badly to be treated like beggars. With this attitude, we've decided to never come back and tell our neighbourhood friends to avoid the place. It doesn't matter if the food is excellent as long as you are treated as if you are being made a favour for a service you are paying for, nor to eat it with an unpleasant face...

Bar situado en el barrio de la rondilla , un bar amplio con una buena barra llena de tapas. Su especialidad los pinchos morunos y la tortilla , tienen unas cuantas cosas mas para comer.

Fui a desayunar y pedí el pincho de tortilla , un pincho de tortilla de tamaño normal , recién hecha , punto poco cuajado tirando a liquida , patata cortada en laminas finas , bien frita , buen punto de sal y buen sabor. Lleva cebolla . Pan normal

Resumen: Una tortilla muy buena , con un reposo de 10min para mi quedaría al punto perfecto

me encantó este lugar, he estado comiendo el sábado con una amistad que lo conocía y la verdad que me sorprendió gratamente,comimos afuera en la terraza, solo nosotros, sin ruido y muy tranquilos.El camarero muy majo y atento.La comida muy buena, la ensaladilla ESPECTACULAR,las croquetas muy buenas, los pinchos de pollo y morunos riquísimos y la oreja guisada estaba más que riquísima, lo que no nos gustó nada fue el salpicón de marisco, no sé decir lo que le pasaba pero no estaba rico. Creo que será un sitio muy recomendable para este verano...
