We went here a few times during our recent visit to the lovely village of Hecho. Sometimes we just had drinks and then we decided to have lunch here but each time we really enjoyed our visits.
During the week in May it was one of a handful of places open. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and we felt most welcome and, despite our poor Spanish and their lack of English, managed to communicate with the help of Google and hand pointing!
The food was delicious, home cooked and of the region, the dishes were hearty and flavoursome and portions were huge.
We had the artichoke, prawns and mushrooms, then the pork cheeks and lamb shank. Meat was wonderfully tender and the sauces were deep in flavour.
There is a small restaurant and a few tables outside, at the weekend, I would definitely recommend booking as we saw a few people turned away because they were full.
