Abisinia — Restaurant in Valle Gran Rey

We knew this place was a little more expensive than others(about 20% more) so we saved it for special. It's not very big and many tables were reserved but the waiter found us a table (others were turned away so reservation recommended) The food is a good standard and it's clear they care. I had carne refresca and wife had tuna with wasabi. Both pleased. It's common here for cards not to work as connection with server can be poor. Staff apologised and explained. We will return next day to pay with card. This contrasts with another restaurant which tried all four of our cards and made us feel responsible when they must have known. Staff here clearly care about their customers....

Very pleasant service. Food was good. We sat outside directly in front of the restaurant where the tables are close together. Next to us a table of ladies and they were smoking and smoking and smoking. When they were not eating they were smoking. After 40 minutes they left and 2 gentlemen sat down...... and started smoking. Not the fault of the restaurant, but we couldn't wait to get...

Possibly not the cheapest place around but definitely one of the better ones. We felt well been taken care of by the service personal, food was pretty good and arrived within an appropriate time. It fully met our expectations. Only the brief description of the meals might demand return questions to make sure you like all...
