We decided to go to this restaurant after reading some very good reviews. It was quite close to our hotel Zimbali. We started with a Chardonnay wine. In main course we had Navratan Korma and Dal Tadka with Tandoor Rotis. They were nice enough to serve complimentary veg salad. The food was absolutely delicious, real authentic Indian food in Vera. The prices were very reasonable. All the guests were non Indians except for us. Since the weather was pleasant, everyone was siting outside. The whole ambiance was family oriented. The service was very friendly and homely. The Punjabi owner Mr. Sukhbindar was a great host. He took a great care of us. We had a long chat in our language Hindi. Afterwards when we requested him to call a taxi for us, he just ignored it and instead took out his car and dropped us to our friend's hotel which was a little further away. We have never seen such gesture anywhere in the world. Thanks a lot bro. Go for great food and...
Read moreWorst Indian ever from the pre cooked popadoms and pathetic pickles (3). One of which was nothing more than onion in ketchup to the precooked mixed pakora. This was bone dry. Chicken tikka masala tasted like precooked chicken breast in tomato soup with cream in it. The young waitress was the most surly person ever. When I complained about the tikka I was told ‘you ordered chicken tikka masala and this is chicken tikka masala’ I then had a male waiter come over and say the same thing. I said it’s not like any chicken tikka masala I’ve ever tasted and I’m not eating it or paying for it. They changed it to their credit but the whole meal just smacks of cynical exploitation of customers with all the pre cooked food. Even the nan bread was bought in reheated. I’m a chef of over 50yrs so I know when something’s fresh or precooked. I don’t understand the good reviews this place gets. An absolute joke for an Indian restaurant.
So annoyed we wasted over €50...

By far the best Indian food we have eaten anywhere in Spain and probably the UK too.
Standout dishes are the Malai Chicken Tikka, the Dansak, the coconut rice and peshwari naan, although everything else we ate was also excellent, the Jalfrezi was full of flavour and spice, the Patya was something we hadn't tried before but definitely would again. Even the coffee is great!
The Menu del Dia at lunchtime is excellent value for the quality on offer at just €12.95 per person and you can choose any chicken dish (with lamb or prawn available at a small supplement) and any rice dish on the normal menu instead of being given just a couple of options as is the normal offerings elsewhere.
All finished off with quality ice-cream.
We loved it obviously and will return!!
(Sorry again about the...
