Cafetaría Hobby — Restaurant in Vigo

Stay away if your Spanish isn’t very good. Never in my life have I had such a discouraging experience. I came here to have a caña with the idea that I would also have something for lunch and chill on the patio for a little bit. Ordered my caña and got some pinchos. Never was offered a menu and the waitress never bothered coming back to my table, not even to clear the dirty dishes. After waiting for about 45 minutes and noticing that other people on the patio were settling their tickets inside, I did the same. Handed the same server a 10, got 2 coins back as change. No ticket or anything. I figured they assumed I wouldn’t be able to fight the charges given my level of Spanish and that I’m clearly not local. Unfortunately for them my family is local. My mother-in-law and wife went to the location and asked about the situation and naturally everything was denied. They said they’d check the cameras and to come back the next day. We did. Again they hadn’t had time to check the cameras but assured me I paid with a five. My wife asked for an official complaint form that is similar to what the BBB does in the states. Suddenly the story changed, the waitress simply made a mistake and they gave my wife my actual change. The money aspect didn’t matter so much. To me the fact that it was so clear that they were taking advantage of a foreigner was really upsetting. I will never go back and I hope this review makes them reconsider their shady...

Nunca habíamos ido pero no creo que volvamos. Paramos a tomar unos cafés porque la terraza parece cómoda y tranquila, pero la atención y trato por parte del personal deja un poco que desear. Desde preguntarnos de forma seca y a distancia lo que íbamos a tomar , a respuestas sin ganas. Los cafés normales y su precio como la media o algo más para lo poco que destacaban. Al pagar la misma situación. Con sequedad y sin ganas. Cuando vas a tomar algo no considero que tengan que hacer chistes ni charlas pero aunque sea una sonrisa o unas formas correctas se agradecen. Por lo menos sentirte cómodo y no que parezca que estorbas. Una lastima ya que la terraza es cómoda...

El joven que está esta mañana, es amable, rápido, y servicial, y por todo ello no pretendo hacer daño alguno, pues no merece para nada perder su puesto de trabajo ya que es muy eficaz, pero alguien deberá enseñarle que las mesas hay que limpiarlas muy bien antes del siguiente servicio, no es posible poner el plato de café con toda la tabla llena de migas de los anteriores clientes, y no ha ocurrido solo en mi mesa. Es la única pega, repito, el resto por su parte ha sido excelente, entiendo que es muy joven y debe ir aprendiendo, y que nos debemos a enseñar y dar...
