Warung Indostar (Restaurante indonesia) — Restaurant in Viveiro

We loved everything about Warung Indostar and highly recommend a visit if you want to try real Indonesian food and hospitality. The service was wonderful, really helpful and friendly and a choice of tables inside and outside, all very clean and well decorated. Everything on the menu looked really delicious, and lots of choice of meat and vegan dishes. we ordered several plates and everything tasted really authentic and fresh, the flavours were superb and nice sized portions. We had lumpia and chicken satay to start and beef rendang with rice and tempeh in a yellow curry. All so yummy . A good cup of Indonesian coffee to finish. It was such a wonderful surprise to find Warung Indostar in Viviero- it’s a real gem, and we plan to return soon and try out other dishes...

We LOVED this place. If you have been in Spain for a while and love the food but just want to have a break and try something else then this is the place. I lived in Asia for 20 years so I know Asian food so it can often be a bit disappointing if its not authentic but Warung served great Indonesian food. Le pongo tres estrellas porque todavía le falta mejorar el servicio de mesa y la organización. No pudimos comer postre. La comida pues bien pero nada de otro mundo, casi todos los platos vienen con un huevo frito encima. Yo en Indonesia nunca lo vi, no sé si en la comida tradicional casera se suele poner, pero para mi gusto le sobra el huevo. Pienso que le hace falta centrarse más en la comida, que sea más parecida y menos occidentalizada. También deberían avisar de que platos pican y cuánto pican porque hubo gente que no comió debido al desconocimiento y a la falta de información. No es un mal sitio para nada, pero se ve que tiene errores de inicio por falta de conocimientos de hostelería. Pero bueno que no son errores por los que no tenga la gente que volver. Un poquito de música tradicional indonesia o balinesa de fondo que se escuche estaría muy bien para darle un aire. Pero bueno en...
