I have been coming here for 15 years now and Amy, the owner, is so warm it feels like family. It's always nice to be back! Considering the location, the price is very reasonable for the huge portions they give you. Unfortunately, her food is often misjudged due to stereotypes of Chinese food having MSG. Her restaurant gets especially busy during the evenings as many local Spanish like to takeaway.
The Menu of the day consists of a soup/spring roll for starters, an AMAZING and generous main dish (I recommend Peking Duck, Chicken w/ vegetables, Chicken w/ almonds, Happy family sizzling: a little bit of everything) which comes with a side of fried rice/noodles or boiled rice, and finally a dessert (often ice cream or Chinese tea if you don't have a sweet tooth).
The quality consistency of all the food always meets a high standard every time I come. There are very few occasions where Amy and her husband (who is the chef) are off and there is a temporary chef - if the food doesn't taste as good as usual, then this is probably why!
