Buddha Palace — Restaurant in Xàbia / Jávea

Visited Buddha palace as it’s been recommended by friends. We weren’t disappointed this place is definitely worth a visit & im sure we will be back during our holiday. Once at our table the lovely staff brought us a glass of sparkling wine and apple juice for the children. They also brought popadoms and chutneys while we decided what we wanted. Me and the hubby ordered the couples menu which inc the popadom, a starter each, any main dish, rice, nan bread. There was so much food we couldn’t eat it all. We where offered ice cream or coffee included and also we got a 1L jug of sangria, our daughter had the same set meal for one which inc a coke and our youngest joined at everyone’s food. Afterwards the children where given Indian sweets while we where offered any liquor on the house which we chose lemon chelo and a baileys. All this inc a tip for 60 Euro!!! Mediocre.... Not at all as good as it used to be.. The Chicken Tikka starter was served cold, my husbands mixed starter was all ‘just off cold’ apart from the onion bajji which was hot.. hubbies main course was great.. my Chicken Tikka dahnsak wasn’t.. The lentils were not cooked properly and although not crunchy not far off and again the Chicken was cold although the outside of it was warm as had contact with the dhansak sauce.. Took ages to get bill, they then forgot to give us our complimentary drinks, so we just left.. One bad dish occasionally is acceptable but when the majority of the food wasn’t up to snuff, for me, it’s time to move on and try somewhere else..
