After all those years we’re still not disappointed. The quality of the food after us visiting 3 other restaurant in playa quemada is the best for us. The food is top class. Paella was so tasty you could eat and eat and eat. The cold beer that kept on landing on our table was making us stay longer and longer. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking. There’s a choice of tables- whether you want to sit in the main area or on the beach. If you choose the beach table and when the tide is right you can actually have the sea at your feet. As for the service- absolutely brilliant. The waiters are kind and very understanding for our attempts of using our broken Spanish. No judgment, just friendly smiles as they know exactly what you were trying to say. This is the first restaurant on the left as you come from Puerto calero. Please visit and try - you’re not gonna be disappointed .

Eating at El Pescador was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had. The restaurant was recommended by someone from the Bodega La Geria vineyard, and it was so good I went back for a second visit. The moment you walk through the door you won't believe the view, this is the picturesque restaurant you see on TV that you wish you could visit. The food here is extremely fresh, however the staff are what also makes this place a truly amazing experience having wonderful conversations on both visits. El Pescador delivers some of the best Canarian food in Lanzarote, which I can definitely verify after eating around the island for the past 7 days. I made sure this was the last restaurant I ate at before catching my flight home to end my trip on a high note. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful experience!

What an amazing restaurant. We decided to “see what is down this road” today on our last day of car hire and found this gem. Stunning location looking over the bay. Wide open front terrace, nice sea breeze and delicious food. My younger son had the escalope of the day and loved it. My older son had a steak and it was perfect (I tried both of them). My wife and I shared the plate of seasonal fried fish and it was the best we have had anywhere in the island so far. We both love fish and it was very tasty. Even their sauce for the little salted potatoes tasted better ! We’ll work a visit and a walk along the shore afterwards and very reasonable prices.

We were really looking forward to returning to El Pescador as have been many times before and classed it as our most favourite restaurant.

Disappointed this evening though - different staff who didn't really seem interested. Nobody asked if the food was ok, food presentation was lacking, no apology when the wrong main course was brought out and none given when the correct meal was served. The sole with lobster sauce was very salty as if it had been seasoned twice.

When asked what desserts we wanted, we commented that we hadn't seen a menu to be told there wasn't one. The waiter then reeled off about 4 options.

At this point we asked for the bill and left.

Beautiful location but PLEASE bring back the younger guy from last year- the service and atmosphere was then fantastic!!

Sadly no longer our favourite restaurant. Might try in the week for lunch and see if different staff make a difference in improving...
