From 5 stars, falling to 1! Three points here all about a young waiter who seems to be a manager, mostly:
For the choice of wine, he convinced us painfully to go for the most expensive bottle. Also, it was painful to ask for the menu, as he wanted us to go for his fish suggestion of the day. Only after begging he returned to the table in the back to get us the menu in hands. An older waiter brought and opened the wrong bottle that was our first choice, and the younger waiter furiously came to remove it off our table. Is it a luxury in a restaurant to be able to look at the menu?
The attitude of the younger waiter towards the older one was disgraceful and made us feel very bad. The food remains good but how do you enjoy when you feel so bad for someone? It was clear that the older waiter was traumatized by the younger's attitude and so he did everything wrong. The only satisfaction was to be able to give the older waiter a tip !
3)This younger waiter is also a also disappointing in his attitude towards clients, with stupid remarks and attitude: I'am travelling with my sister, so it's fun when he brings us a candle so it would be "more romantic". Plus the candle, which is actually a led-plastic glowing candle, should be brought to table not in the middle of eating our starter. Plus it's boring to hear that he is so hard working for his restaurant. Mostly he announced exceptionally tasty food, eventually it was nothing but very basic cooking.
Restaurants "Playa Quemada" mostly, and "El Pescador" in the near vicinity are much better in any way. How can one buddy ruin a business and part of our holidays... Back in 2015, it was something else completely different. We won't get back there until...

I went for the "merluza" (hake). After an over 30mn wait, (my partner had already finished some very suspicious tapas), I was presented with a piece of grilled fish bathing in water which is a very clear sign of deep frozen food. So much for the catch of the day... Anyway, not wanting to rain on anyones party, I took it upon myself for having chosen such a pit for lunch. But then when I asked for the bill I was presented with 22 euros for the fish. Since the daily catch is priced on the menu at 4,70 per hundred grams, I told the waiter that the sorry little piece of frozen fish certainly didn't weigh 468 grams. Read moreProbablemente la mayor decepción que me haya llevado de una comida en un restaurante, terrible. Os voy a contar lo ocurrido intentado resumir al máximo, porque fue despreciable. Llegamos al restaurante y muy amablmete nos sientan en la terraza con grandes vistas, ofreciendonos rápidamente algo de beber y la carta. Nosotros tras un vistazo rápido lo primero que preguntamos es que cual es el pescado del día, a lo que el camarero/encargado nos informa que ese día únicamente tenian parrillada de pescado ya que lo recibido ese día eran pescados muy chiquitos que no se podían servir de manera individual (Aceptamos lo que nos indica un poco extrañados). Acto seguido y tras hablarnos de algunos fueras de carta procedemos a pedir, mejillones al vapor (Finalmente cancelados porque minutos antes de traer los entrantes el camarero nos indica que deben ser a la marinera, raro también), morena frita (Ofrecida a otra mesa pero no a nosotros, al comentarselo nos informa que se acababa de enterar y que por eso no nos lo había dicho) y por último la parrillada de pescado fresco ofertada. Nos traen la morena, para nuestro gusto buena sin ser nada espectacular, pero es la primera vez que la probabamos (No tenenos nada con lo que comparar) y acontinuación viene la fiesta, cuando nos van a traer la parrillada vemos que a la otra mesa le sacan una racion de vieja (Pescado de la isla) para compartir para dos personas y a nosotros nos trae tres pescados bastantes grandes a lo que le indicamos que porque no nos ofertó la vieja (Su respuesta fue que como eramos dos no pensaba que lo fuesemos a querer, pero en cambio si se lo ofrece a otra mesa de dos personas también). En cuanto nos llegan los tres pescados (Aespecto más que dudos) por supuesto le indicamos que solo queremos uno y que es una tomadura de pelo. El colofon final fue que al probarlo pudimos comprobar que no estaba en buen estado, así que optamos por dejarlo entero (No exagero, tanto olor como sabor eran terribles, a mi mujero le estuvo picando la boca toda la tarde).
En resumen, el cara dura del camarero/encargado nos vio con cara de tontos y quiso colarnos lo que le vino en gana, un auténtico estafado. Al menos me quedo con la tranquilidad de no haber pagado...
