Kirkilla — Restaurant in Zarautz

The plates looks amazing but the food does not have any taste... That's a shame for such a fancy restaurant... I had the "cola de merluza con patatas..." tasteless, not even enough salt and the potatos were not freshly cooked, the colour was of those leftover potatos... We had tuna with salsa de whisky, again not even enough salt (we don't eat salty, but this was like for people that are in hospital and are not allowed to eat salt at all) and the fish was raw but no one said a word about this when we oder it.. Maybe the food in de menu is better but...

absolutely excellent restaurant! we have hardly ever experienced such nice service (family owned restaurant) and such kind way of dealing with customers! the son served the courses, the mum every now and then came around, tapped on your shoulder and asked if everything is ok and they always had time for chats and telling details about the food - which was just very tasteful and creatively combined - to a very fair price! please go and enjoy yourself! highly recommanded! It was quite a disappointing experience. We had booked months in advance attracted by the great reviews but it did not live up to the expectations.
