Daiya Food Restaurant — Restaurant in Galle

This is my second negative experience with here at Daiya Food Restaurant, and I feel compelled to share my concerns. In the hospitality industry, such behavior is unacceptable.

During a previous visit, I came with friends for dinner on a rainy day. The staff refused to seat us in the back of the restaurant, claiming they couldn’t serve us because they might get wet. This was highly unprofessional, as seating arrangements and weather conditions should not be the customer’s problem. I chose to overlook this incident as it was my first bad experience and the restaurant was still new.

However, on my recent visit, the situation only worsened. Upon arriving for dinner, I found the parking area full, but the side gate was open with a bike parked inside. I parked my bike in a corner, only to be rudely shouted at, being told, “You can’t park here.” As a restaurant, they should be able to provide a more customer-friendly experience.

This kind of unprofessional behavior is disappointing, and I will not be returning. I urge others not to expect any form of friendly...

This is not what i was expect , Totally disappointed. We went with my family of 8 members. We ordered Sawala Seafood Rice for Rs.8000/=. We were surprised when it served because of size of portion. We booked due to my brother's birthday function and they informed this one is enough for 8pack. After they served it we were like uncomfortable. Not enough per person portion.it wasn’t even sufficient for 2 people. Very misleading and absolutely poor value for money. We were still hungry after the meal. Definitely not coming back! I want to advise if someone looking to book this place for your family function this is not a good option. You can find a better place in Galle Fort. Service also not good. Environment like middle of SAHARA desert . Please avoid this and stay away from this restaurant if you need...
