S6ay here. Trust me. Thank me later. :)
I am a world traveler, beach loving laid back kinda down to earth nature lover. I am a yogi and health freak but I also have a side of me that likes to dabble in some cocktails and conversation and yummy less than totally healthy nibbles. So this spot is for both. Great for solo travellers, romantic for couples, fun for families and you can practically touch the water from your room. It sits on the lbeach also which many do not here, genuine beach access not one you have to walk on a road for because it doesn't sit on a cliff or pile of rocks. You can take your coconut water or cocktail 2 steps to the sand.
I am slo struggling with a cleanliness obsession, haha. The rooms could not possibly be cleaner.. Great showers, super hot water, nice linens and attractive eco chic minimalist decor. The AC is so powerful I run it only for a few minutes then turn it off and the room stays cool for hours.
You can hear the waves rearing from your room and not much else :) I am a swimmer and love lonnnng beach walks also. This beach satisfies both and you will not be bothered on the beach with people trying to sell things.....IT is clean, safe and quiet.
Everyone raves about the pizza and all the food also.
What else can I tell you? I is close to everything in terms of sights and shops and those tourist trappy overpriced non Sri lankan generic experiences if that is your craving.... but really you should just be here when you are here and surrender to the sunsets and simplicity and avoid the busier areas. If you seek them though, shopping, Galle etc is a short tie tie away.
Great yoga is down the road and affiliated with the sanctuary. You can join a class or receive private instruction.
If you want to be super active the guys will take care of you and you can surf, dive, snorkel, see the sights and all of that. It is about 2 hours drive from Colombo also if that is important.
The team who work here, the restaurant, the beach, the location, the rooms, really every single thing in my experienced opinion is among the best.
I am so happy to have been directed here by local friends, and so grateful for everyone here's attention and care. I will be sad to leave and look forward...

Room: Stayed for 2 nights in Deluxe Sea-front (2 king size beds, aircon, attached toilet, balcony). Was on the 2nd level of a 4-storey building just next to the restaurant, had to walk up the stairs. Has a kettle and mini fridge. Blanket was thin, had to use the beach towel on top of it.
Getting around: We asked their in-house Tuk Tuk to bring us around. Baatu is very experienced, even kindly stayed on when we were at a farm tour to help with some translation. They also arranged the van to the airport for our flight home.
Food: 4 types of breakfast at their restaurant, opens at 8:30am. For Sri Lankan breakfast, need to order in advance (wish we were told đĽ˛). breakfast served was good! Muesli came with plenty of fruits.
Beach: sheltered lagoon right in front with about 6 turtles swimming around, there were some tourists feeding sea grass to them. could rent snorkel goggles to use. sand and waters were clean, quite clear.
Location: Short Tuk Tuk drive to Galle Fort, has a small but well-stocked grocery store within walking distance (Daminduâs Food Corner).
Payment: 50% of room rate via bank transfer before check in, could pay balance in rupee or credit card after check in. Airport transfer paid in rupees to driver on arrival to airport.
Cons: No dedicated staff for the guesthouse. When we arrived, had to ask around then one guy (who cleans the rooms) brought us to our room, could only speak very simple English. We had to keep walking down to the bar and ask around the staff to get the information we need - Such as what to do for our 2 breakfast - we had to depart just as their restaurant open at 8:30am, and had to leave 6:30am the following morning for the airport (info made known to them at point of reservation). Room rate paid was for bed and breakfast. Eventually they made cheese sandwich and a tub of cut tropical fruits that we obtained the night...
