Disappointing Experience at O!FC Kiribathgoda

The newly relocated O!FC outlet in Kiribathgoda is a much better location compared to the previous one, with convenient parking within the Cargills Food City premises. The interior is fresh and well-maintained, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The food was served hot, and the washrooms were clean, which are some positives about the place.

However, my experience was disappointing overall. The outlet felt uncomfortably hot, and when I arrived, there was no one at the counters to assist. After I complained to the staff about the heat, nothing was done to address it during my visit. It wasn’t until I was preparing to leave that they finally brought the AC remote to fix the issue. To my surprise, the AC had been set to 30°C the whole time, which had made the experience quite uncomfortable.

When I approached the manager to express my concern, I was met with a dismissive attitude. Instead of acknowledging the issue or offering an apology, he acted as if I were the one in the wrong for bringing it up. His response was unprofessional and left me with a negative impression.

Disappointing Experience at KFC Kiribathgoda

We visited Sri Lanka from the UK and came to the KFC in Kiribathgoda on 27th August. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and upsetting.

I came with my children, including my elder son who has special needs. From the moment we entered, a staff member – a heavy-set gentleman – kept staring at my son, which was very uncomfortable and inappropriate. It felt judgmental and insensitive, especially considering my son's condition.

Service was equally poor. The waiting time was extremely long – we had to wait ages for our food. There were several managers present, but they seemed completely unbothered and unhelpful – more like statues than staff. It was clear there was no urgency or proper management.

To make matters worse, when we finally ordered ice cream, it took them over 30 minutes to serve it – and it appeared to be brought in from a nearby supermarket instead of being served fresh.

As someone who has worked at KFC in London, I was shocked at the lack of professionalism and basic service standards. This location truly does not reflect the KFC brand we know abroad.
