Lilling Cottage AB — Restaurant in Öckerö kommun

We visited Lilling Cottage for lunch on a so-so summer's day of rain and sunshine. Hence the restaurant wasn't particularly busy but had enough customers not to feel empty. The menu features a number of Swedish dishes and our waitress was kind enough to translate as they don't have a menu in English.

We were reasonably hungry and so went for a carpaccio starter along with some chips and dip. The latter were fairly ordinary but the carpaccio was both fresh and tangy. So it set us up nicely for the catch of the day and a shrimp sandwich.

Both of these main courses were quite filling with the shrimp sandwich really being more than substantial and a challenge to finish. The fish of the day was perhaps a little less bulky but it made up for this by being well cooked and highly enjoyable.

We were also very well served by our waitress and there's no doubt that Lilling Cottage puts out some excellent dishes. That said it's fairly pricey with our lunch for two coming in at 850SEK and that's without any alcohol. That's not terrible value but I wouldn't visit hoping for a...

It is worthy to make a tour plan just for this restaurant. I've just been here once, and I am sure to travel back more just for it. (abou 30 km from Gothenburg city. Very cozy iland.) If the chef's performance could be constant, this restaurant should be included by the Michellin tourist guide some day. The food tast is fantastisc. Their pizza can fully provoke your taste buds, the ingredients are great, and the flavor is so rich! The only difference between Liling and the Michelin restaurants may be that the variety of dishes is relatively small, and the waiter will not talk about the story of the food like the waiter in the Michelin...

Beautiful place with amazing food and fantastic service. Outside and inside it's very well decorated with many lovely details.
