Tullhuset Restaurang, Hönö — Restaurant in Öckerö kommun

This place was recommended to us by a friend in it was absolutely the best place we ate on our trip in Gothenburg! We took a boat out there and tied up at the dock right beside the restaurant. I started with a local gin with tonic - it was fantastic. My fiancé had a local lager which paired well with our starters. We ordered the seafood platter and seafood soup to start. They are famous for their soup so we had to try it and now we know why. It was so delicious! It consisted of fresh seafood like salmon (sea trout) and muscles in a creamy saffron broth with a side of homemade sourdough bread. The seafood platter was to die for. Fresh shrimp, muscles, crayfish and more. For our mains we had the sea trout and the baked catfish. Both were to die for. The sea trout came with a half head of roasted garlic - yum! The catfish served with an amazing risotto. All so fresh. The fish melted like butter in our mouths. This place is a seafood paradise and I would recommended it to everyone...

We popped in here today at around 5.30pm with no reservation. This was not a problem and we had the choice of sitting inside or outside. We were given a lovely table looking out to sea. We only had 1 course as we weren't too hungry. I had the catch of the day, cod, which was just perfect. My husband had the 1 vegetarian main meal which was delicious. We both enjoyed a glass of wine which complemented the meal. We were made to feel very welcome and the lead server ( sorry we didn't get your name) was incredibly helpful and friendly. I removed my previous 5 stars to this place because prices have gone up a lot and service has became bad. That’s what happens when you hire young people who don’t care. Asked the waiter (bling girl) to clean the baby chair and it was the dirtiest chair I have seen in my life. She came and literally spent 5 seconds on a quick wipe and was done. The chair was still as dirty as before. I started wiping the chair myself and still it was way dirty to use, it hadn’t been clean in years. Like really nasty.
