Habesha Restaurang & Bar — Restaurant in Gävle kommun

Lies in the same building as the station wich is convinient. We got a complemantery lentil soup wich was nice. Ordered the Habesha special wich is a mixed platter with everything basicly. And it all was really tasty! The chicken, the beef stew, the lentils, you name it. My girlfriend who doesn't like spinach and veggies liked the spinach and veggies. Oh and we ordered one plate (wich was the size of a family pizza) wich we shared. And ot was more than enough for the both of us and we have big apetites! And pleasant service so quite the bargain all in all....

Jag hade aldrig testat eritreansk mat tidigare, så det var väldigt kul att testa på. Maten bestod av typ grytor och röror, som man själv lade på brödet, Injera, och så åt man med händerna. Brödet kändes rätt syrligt, men funkade bra ihop med alla tillbehör. Jag är dock skeptisk till hur pass autentiskt det var. Både jag och sambon tog av de hetaste rätterna på menyn, men min rätt var åtminstone inte särskilt het så jag fick tillsätta mer hetta själv. Jag misstänker att de dragit ner på hettan för att de inte trodde att vi skulle vilja ha så starkt? Men vi vill ju ha det hett. Annars skulle vi inte ha tagit de rätterna. Och då vill vi ha så starkt som det är meningen att det ska vara. Dock hade jag som sagt inte ätit eritreanskt förut så det kanske inte skulle vara starkare än så? Nå, maten var i alla fall väldigt god...

The food was good but as soon as I asked for the toilet he got all defensive and aggressive telling me to go on the toilet out, very unprofessional all this because I'm Muslim, islamophobic and annoying , definitely not gonna...
