Read moreThe venue is beautiful and next to the restaurant is a pier with many old wooden boats to visit before dinner. The outdoor area is amazing and full of evening sun. Five stars.
We had lobster soup, turbot, and sole. The sole is described as being accompanied with half a lobster and black truffles, but had half a lobster tail and microscopic truffles. The sauce tasted identical to the lobster soup. Lobster stock is strong and need more truffles, but the combination would kill the taste of the sole. Stick with Escoffier's mild sauce or serve sole meuniere if USD 90 is not enough to cover the cost of the ingredients. The soup was fine, but needed something chewy like a handful of shrimps. The turbot was much better, but all dishes were too salty. Serving low-fat mashed potatoes during Swedish fresh potato season is strange. A generous three stars.
The quality of the service was not good. Hardly any attention before or after being seated. Restaurant was less than 20% full. The staff behaved liked teenagers that did not want to be there. I would have liked being told that the lobster soup and the sauce to the sole are the the same. Then we could have ordered a different starter. Staff could have given my wife an English menu. Staff could have asked if we wanted more water, wine, or bread. Staff could have quickly offered us the bill once they saw the credit card...

We ordered several dishes, including a very commonly served seafood platter. The mussels were dry and tasted badly, so I only ate one. My friend, less experienced in eating seafood and really trying to experience Swedish cuisine, ate two. We’re really kind, easy going people - so we didn’t say anything about it.
However, after being violently ill the next day (my friend was ill for a couple days and it totally ruined the end of her time here), we reached out to inform this supposed Michelin star restaurant.
They basically said, too bad, if no one else who ate the same dish calls in and reports being ill, we aren’t going to do anything to make it up to you.
I wish I would have asked my local in-laws about it before going - they said when their company went their for julbord (Christmas dinner) a couple years back, the whole team got sick and they didn’t care then either.
Apparently it was nice at one time, but it’s an expensive game of roulette with no regard for the well-being of their...
