Lotus — Restaurant in Halmstads kommun

Went here yesterday with family. We were seated at a very uncomfortable table, although there were others free, which stood so close to another that the visitors sitting at it constantly touched us with their elbows and had to move chairs when they wanted to leave the table for a new portion of food. On our last visit, we ourselves chose a table, but we were asked rather rudely to change seats, for a less convenient one. The staff constantly carries dirty rags on dirty tables. Now about food. There was such an impression that stale products are abundantly covered with spices to clog the taste. Everything is terribly spicy or very salty, even those dishes that are not labeled as spicy. Deep-fried dishes had a strong taste of rancid butter. The result of yesterday's dinner is sick stomachs in two of the four members of our family, the rest just sat in the toilet for a long time. I don't understand why this place has such a high rating. We went to this place on Sunday for lunch and were attracted by their “Mongolian bbq” (299kr per person). The funny thing is that which it actually means is to pick raw vegetables and meats to ask a staff to cook for you. The food is not fresh with very few kinds and there was one kind of vegetable smells very bad. They also charged us 18 sek just for water. We went to lots of restaurants both in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Service was very friendly. Food was according to my test. Suitable for both the veg and non-veg people and people of any age. Atmosphere was good and comfortable. The place was clean. However as a buffet the food variation was small. I wish the lunch time was little longer as we had to wait in the long queue. And also feels uncomfortable to sit longer as people ware waiting in the queue and were bound to go back to work after finishing lunch on time. It would be convenient if the restaurant has bigger place. Anyway I wish all the very best for them. Well...
