YaMMi Stattena HBG - Ramen & Sushi — Restaurant in Helsingborgs kommun

Really sad to write that this was a sub-par experience. The high scoring reviews made me look forward to trying the ramen here.

I got the chicken ramen and unfortunately it wasn’t good. At all. I don’t know if I’ve ever had chicken broth I didn’t like before, but this one didn’t do it for me.

Also, the chicken pieces weren’t properly chopped up and they were full of fat. Great for cooking, less so for serving. At least at this price point.

The noodles were ok though. And the space seemed ok. I got a squeaky chair and they’d left the door to the bathroom open, which didn’t enhance the experience as it was clearly visible from the dining area.

I noted in the menu that they have a lot of sushi. Might be a better option, but I didn’t try it. And...

The restaurant is kinda small so it’s better if you book a table to avoid not getting a seat. The staffs are very friendly. They have ”ramen of the day” and sushi kombinations for cheaper price during lunch. We ordered tonkotsu ramen and sushi with gyoza as a side dish. The sushi was really good. My friend loved the ramen but I wasn’t blown away. It had descent taste but I have high expectations when it comes to ramen since I’ve been to more than 50 ramen houses. This is the best place for ramen in Helsingborg, much better than the absolutely mediocre ramen at Slurp at Kitchen Floor. I have been coming here for the past 1.5 years whenever I miss Japan, and it is always worth the visit. The tantanmen is my favorite—it has a great balance and the best out of the options available in my opinion. I have also tried the tori and tonkotsu ramen, and they are quite good as well. The restaurant is small but cozy, and the atmosphere feels nice. I will definitely keep coming back...
