Jonas Mat & Event — Restaurant in Kalmar kommun

I have to say this is the best food I've ever eaten in the whole country of Sweden. Ordered fish and chips and from the start the staff were super helpful and guiding my gf what vegetarian option to choose. Then I had a taste of their salad buffe which, by the way, was excellent. When I saw the dish I was literally astonished. The plating was so pretty. The fish was cooked to perfection and the chips was so good that I was full but I could not stop eating them. My gf was also very very satisfied with her dish and kept raving about the food. The prices maybe were a little too high but for a restaurant of this caliber I would say, they earn every single kr of that. I would recommend this to anyone who is visiting Kalmar or living in Kalmar. Truly one of the best food you can find here and they earned my first-ever-given 5 star. Well done...

We were driving south from Sthlm and would arrive late for lunch, called in advance and asked if we could preorder and arrive an hour later, the answer was yes (!). Such flexibility and amazing hospitality is not easy to find. When we arrived there was parking available, and a warm smile greeted us when we walked through the door. Tack Jonas! Idag överträffade du dig själv när hustrun och jag fick förmånen att inta din fish&chips-lunch! Du har alltid legat i topp när du serverat den här rätten, men idag lyckades du få fram den bästa fish&chips som både jag och hustrun någonsin har ätit!!! 👍👍👍 Då skall du veta att den rätten blivit något av en favorit för oss under åren och jag betygsätter den varje gång jag väljer den (1-3 poäng vardera för fisken, pommes frites och såsen!) och idag lyckades du toppa rätten i alla delar, dvs 9 poäng! Egentligen borde du ha fått 10 poäng med tanke på den fina sallad som du också bifogade rätten! Stort tack för den...
