Fjäderholmarnas krog — Restaurant in Lidingö kommun

Food was good, but I was astounded by the poor service (especially from the head waiter).

We were a group celebrating a 30th birthday and they refused to offer any suggestions on how we could get her anything special for the evening, even when explicitly asked they refused (and didn't seem to care much).

On top of that, they asked us to leave the premise at 21.55 (despite closing at 22.00), because the staff said they wanted to catch an earlier boat back to the city. This meant we instead had to wait outside in the cold for 30 minutes until our boat departed.

Can't believe how a fancy place like this can treat the only large company there with such lack of service mindedness. Highly unprofessional and would not recommend anyone going (then spend your money...

Ok. The waiter was friendly and professional but only spoke English, can be a hurdle for some. The hamburger I ordered was fine (slightly underdone) but the fries was way too salty. The dessert was supposed to be a rhubarb crumble pie but was more like hard biscuits with long pieces of rhubarb on the side. Was told by the waiter that they would change the menu to better reflect the actual dish. I would rather they made improvements to the dish itself. The maitre d was only not very welcoming but also did not address us when left and said goodbye to him. Unfortunate that they have him at front of house

tldr. An ok/meh experience, can't really recommend but not tell anyone to definitely...

Fjäderholmarnas Krog is such a special spot! The setting on the water is absolutely stunning, and the seafood is fresh and delicious. Even though the season was coming to an end in just a couple of weeks, the service was still top-notch — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Visiting toward the end of the season turned out to be a real treat, since the island was quieter and wonderfully peaceful to explore. A perfect combination of great food, beautiful views, and a relaxing atmosphere. It is on the pricier side (a couple of cheaper options on the island), BUT you are paying for the view, experienced staff and qualify of food....
