Röda Villan — Restaurant in Lidingö kommun

Set in the beautiful waterfront of Fjäderholmarna, you cannot miss this cafe when you visit!! Tables and tables of outdoor seating, with a good amount of indoor seating as well. Blankets provided for when it gets chilly, thoughtful.

My guests and I arrived to Röda Villan at 11:30AM for lunch and were told kitchen opens at 12PM. No worries, we just started the meal with drinks and pastries (yes, they had pies, cold sandwiches, cookies, nata!!!) My guests ordered white wine and the raspberry pie, I ordered a latte and nata. Honestly, latte was not as strong as I prefer and the nata was a big of a bummer since the crust was chewy and it wasn’t very flavorful ◠̈

When the kitchen opened (late found out they were grilling everything on the open fire outside!), we ordered the Three Swedish Flavors (Large size, small is offered) Spinach and Feta Cheese Pie Salmon

I would give less than a star. I attended for more than one hour to order, every time that I went to the cashier desk they told me to attend a few more cause the kitchen was closed, the first time the girl at the cashier desk told me:“wait 30 minutes”, from waiting for 30 minutes we arrived to wait more than an hour and every time that I went to cashier desk to ask if the kitchen was open, she responded me that she didn’t know and that I should attend. Meanwhile people were served, every person that came after us received the food and we were there, still waiting. I’m wondering why, but I still don’t have an answer. This could easily be one of these scenic tourist traps with average, yet overpriced food, but it isn't. It's the exact opposite. Great setting and really nice food. Freshly prepared, big portions, tasty. I had the only vegan option in the menu, a burrito, and it tasted great.
