Very delicious food. Beautifully set portions. Closer to works of art than food.
Our family visited the place twice while we were in Luleå. Once for lunch, about 120 SEK per person and once for dinner, about 250 SEK per person. They used the beautiful special serving platters only for dinner.
The service was great, even for us tourists with kids who had to ask specific questions about the dishes to make sure the picky kids would agree to eat them.
I'd say the restaurant consists of two parts. The 'main' floor with big windows to the street and the enterance and about six tables. The atmosphere is very nice if you happen to get a table there. The 'upper' part which is in the back of the restaurant and about one meter above the main floor level. There are about a dozen or so tables there. The atmosphere isn't as nice there as you can't see outside and there's the climate control machine, dish washing room and other noises. If you do not book a table beforehand you'll probably get a table in that part of the restaurant. It's still all right, but just not as nice.
There were kids portions too which were not spicy and my 8 year old kid really liked. Japanese Ramune...
Read moreThe sushi was very good, and I would like to sincerely congratulate the cookers. However, I won't return the compliment to the wait staff. We finished our meal at 8pm and waited 30 minutes for someone to come and offer us the desserts. After the two waitresses (young, one blonde and one brunette) had dodged our glances and calls numerous times, one of them (the brunette) finally decided to answer us at 8.30pm sharp. We asked her (kindly, of course) for the menu to order a dessert, but she told us that they stopped serving at 8.30 p.m. (again, it was exactly 8.30 p.m. at that time, and I don't know if the fact that she decided to answer our calls precisely at the time they stopped serving was a coincidence, but I'm going to assume that it wasn't). Very disappointed with this service, it's obvious that we won't be coming back, and I sincerely hope for your sake that your waitresses learn to do their job properly if you don't want to lose any more clients. I really feel sorry for...
Read moreWent here for lunch on a workday. It was super crowded and we had to share our table with some strangers who just wanted to enjoy their lunch-break - food, connecting people.
We ordered the poké bowl and had some salad and miso soup from the lunch buffet for starters. It was great, the poké bowl was either with salmon or with tofu. Super fresh, well balanced meal. It was enough to feed our growling stomachs but did not leave us overstuffed. Perfect base for our exploration of Luleå.
Come and eat here if you have the opportunity. Do not be afraid to ask strangers to sit together. It’s really cozy and comfy and surprisingly not as expensive as I would have...
